The location was excellent. The accommodation and the work on the hall is work in progress. It is a superb project and will be wonderful when it is completed.

Spectacular property — wonderful rooms and common areas, and host Debbie serves the best breakfast ever. Just a short distance from Montgomery and Offa’s Dyke Path, and the fantastic Nags Head pub is just a minute up the road for dinner. Debbie was a tremendous host — very communicative throughout our booking process and stay. We definitely look forward to returning.

I know the town well, and covid and the advent of Tesco and other supermarkets are in danger of killing off the centre. At 11.30 on a Friday evening on a Bank Holiday weekend there wasn't a soul in sight . We were visiting friends in the area but I don't think I'd choose it as a base for a holiday

Great views but can be difficult to get to - would need to walk a lot. Very peaceful, quiet and private. Local village with one shop. Have to travel further to city centre for other stuff. Fresh local eggs and milk for sale.

The lovely hills, trees and rural ness. It’s a farming community with the charming little railway. The Royal Oak in the centre of Welshpool has lovely food and a relaxed atmosphere.
Montgomery Castle is a wonderful place to visit with great views across to the Shropshire hills. We also visited Powis Castle which is wonderful with a fantastic garden.

Small market town , lovely walk along the canal , also a small museum there. Close to Powys castle and gardens , well worth a visit I was a bit disappointed that we were unable to get on the Llanfair railway in Welshpool ….apparentley opening back up in August
Location was excellent and nestled at the top of one of the local hills. A roughly mile walk to the bottom and a great pub for food and drinks.
Made to feel really welcome throughout. Great that we could have our dogs with us. The room was very large and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
Would recommend to anybody after a short break in Welshpool that want to explore
Once the renovations are finalised this place will be an exceptional small gathering location
Good central location for touring the area, good access to Welshpool, Oswestry, Bala, Shrewsbury and the borders. Warm and comfortable base for the week. All that you need for a successful self catering break was provided at the cottage and the hosts were very kind.
The staff were excellent, very friendly and attentive. The food was also excellent, well prepared and presented. The village the hotel was in, Berriew, was very picturesque. Very pretty part of Wales. It finished off an already great little tour of Wales.
Very friendly host and really appreciated the welcome package with milk, bacon, fresh eggs and bread. Amazing views from the window across the Welsh and English hills and a great location for exploring mid Wales.
