I was expecting a room in a pub, but the accommodation far exceeded my expectations in every way! The rooms are in a separate block a few yards away from the pub and large, very well appointed, and very quiet.
Every member of staff I interacted with was friendly and helpful and it was genuine, not forced.
The restaurant food was excellent - the Black horse classic burger was one of the best I have ever eaten. The breakfast was ample and tasty too. As the food is so good it is recommended to book a table if you want to eat in the restaurant. We were also told that food could be taken to the rooms, or eaten in the bar as well.
Our stay was for the Kent Downs Ultra challenge and this hotel is ideally placed for that event. If the event is put on again in 2025 then I suspect this hotel will be packed with challengers!

Location of the whole site, quiet and lovely surroundings. Great bar/club house and restaurant. Surrounded by nature, great terrace overlooking greens and lake. Great value and fantastic breakfast. Dinner in the restaurant was great too. Air con in the room was powerful which was very pleasing.

Arrived at the Hotel but couldnt find where to check in. One of the staff came out to help me so it might be worth a reception sign perhaps as I asked a couple and they didnt know either. The scottish lady who checked me in was very helpful and her customer service was excellent. The room was really nice, very clean. Was quiet, breakfast was superb and would definitely stay again.

Was disappointed.
Was disappointed. Castle has never been an old Castle But having revisited is ruined I’ve updated it. You don’t go to end past the seller and the rooms are just too not looking right. I wouldn’t visit Castle again and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It’s a great same.

The weather was against us when we visited the castle and although the room was lovely, the bed was not the most comfortable, which did mar our visit slightly. The castle and grounds are lovely and the restaurant for breakfast and the evening meal was also very good. The only downside to our visit, apart from the weather and the bed!, was that we arrived fairly early and was not allowed access into the castle as it opened later, the restaurant was also closed so we could not have something to eat there while we waited and we were unable to book into the room early, which was a shame considering the weather (not the castles fault obviously!). But overall, this is a nice place to visit and it is magical to stay on the grounds.

What a lovely property set on the beautiful grounds of Leeds Castle! Our room was in the smaller side for two people or I’d rate the facilities a “ten.” Very clean, very nice breakfast and delightful delightful staff!! Sadly, our flight for London left too early for us to walk through the castle. I’d definitely recommend and stay at this lovely place again. Don’t miss walking though the garden!
Amazing setting in the grounds of Leeds castle. The room is quaint, very traditional English. Maybe a bit too quaint. Breakfast was wonderful and the view from the breakfast room is amazing. Stunning.
