what a magnificent hotel. every room is different. all have so much character. this old building feels a bit like hogwarts. I am sure some of the stairs moved, and some of the pictures talked. we spend hours roaming around the hotel looking for hidden gems like the reading room and even the gym (not really a gem but it was fun looking for it). breakfast is a bit pricey for what you get but the room and the buffet are beautiful. staff is amazing, funny, smart, nice and professional. I would definitely come back. hopefully soon.

It was lovely clean, great location for the west end .
I liked the Glasgow House very much. It's a small and simple place with character, which is all I wanted. Run by a quiet couple who are very nice. Its excellent location is right by Glasgow U, Kelvingrove Park, and wonderful bakeries, pubs, and restaurants. Aside from a TV (which I didn't need) and WiFi, it doesn't have the updated amenities of a more modern hotel. But that's not why I stayed there.
Staff friendly and did their best to accommodate, nice/clean facility. Restaurants/pubs are a close walk and bagpipes played at Kelvingrove park when I was walking to Mother India restaurant. Bed was comfy and room large for 4 people. Able to take inner tube from train station or walk to hostel.
the location was a bit away from city center but close to the Kelvingrove park and museum. there are many restaurants and some shops next by and events center walking distance.
Spotlessly clean and fabulously friendly staff. We were greeted with some glasses of prosecco at check in, which were indeed needed after a long flight from the US! The hotel is also extremely well located just a couple of blocks from the lovely Kelvingrove Park, as well as several bars, restaurants, and grocery stores. Price included a pretty good continental breakfast as well. Highly recommend!
Charming decor with in room record players and vinyl albums to play. Friendly front desk. Fabulous location by Kelvingrove Park and Museum. Lively restaurant scene nearby. Good breakfast.
We have stayed here several times and are likely to return whenever we are in Glasgow. Excellent location! Close to restaurants, pubs and Kelvingrove Park. Easy access to everything necessary. Room is quite big and enough space for a family of 3 (we seem to always get 201). More than sufficient closet space and vanity table. Bathroom is quite small though (hard for my 6'3" husband but fine for me and son). Heating is great in winter and it's cool enough in the summer. Cleanliness is decent. Staff are helpful when needed!
The location is great-- right on the edge of Kelvingrove park, an easy walk to great free museums and great restaurants (highly recommend Ox & Finch, right across the street), with buses that run into Central Glasgow every 10-15 minutes. There was good sound-proofing, the shower was nice and warm with good water pressure, and the curtains shut out the city lights well at night.
Really great location and quite spacious . Laundry was a plus. My daughter loved the loft bed and we had plenty of space for our family of three. Nice bedding, fun and stylish kitchen, and steps to kelvingrove park and the botanic garden.
