First of all I would like to say that I am Gary mainwaring room 17 . Straight away it was really wonderful private car park location absolutely private very welcome, straightaway the staff was very friendly I was pleasantly surprised even though I only had a single room but it was top Dollar lovely decoration large shower etc no complaints

The staff were pleasant and welcoming. Reception area was open and warm.. our room was clean and pleasant, with a great welcome basket
A few tweeks and this hotel could be excellent, not lavish but local , clean and welcoming.. the menu is small but the food was excellent. I travel a lot and the food was well presented and flavorful. Breakfast also was plentiful . And they had excellent coffee . A simple style hotel with no fuss but plenty of smiles and excellent food. What more could you want .

The staff were extremely accommodating, especially Emily I think that was her name. The bed was very comfy and the bath was very spacious.
The room service was very fast.

Stunning location, really friendly staff and great value
The hotel is in Llangollen town center, looking out over the River Dee. It mixes original character with modern comforts, including free Wi-Fi, free parking and a riverside garden.
The property was wonderful it was a very old building.

The walk to Horseshoe Pass takes about an hour from...
The walk to Horseshoe Pass takes about an hour from Llangollen Wharf and is well worth it. There is plenty of grass area to picnic at the Pass but no benches. The life on the canal is great to watch; horse drawn boats, paddleboarders, canoes, kayaks. There is a small rustic coffee/ refreshment stop half way which is very quaint, no toilets though. Loved our walk, well worth a visit the Pass is beautiful.
