Cambrian House, hotel in Llangollen

This historically listed former coaching house has a large, secure free car park, and free Wi-Fi. It is in the center of the picturesque town of Llangollen, in the Dee Valley.

Cath the owner was so friendly, after booking our breakfast time we were shown to our room. The room was lovely, a great size with a comfy bed, plenty of tea/coffee/hot chocolate plus flavoured tea & biscuits. Fresh milk in the fridge in the breakfast area. Our bathroom was across from our room in a totally private area, with a lovely shower, toiletries & fluffy towels. We were given our key, WiFi & emergency contact number. We were able to leave our car on check out day so we could explore the village. You can book direct with the hotel for a better rate

Llangollen is a beautiful little town with fantastic scenery. Lots of little shops and some great places for food and drink. Theres plenty to do and see wether its a walk down the canal, or a boat trip to walking up to Dinas Bran. There is a Pavillion which is a great venue for gigs and show within walking distance Further on (best to go in a car) is up the Horseshoe Pass where you will see some outstanding views of the valley. There are also some walking paths. In the town next to the river is the Steam railway.

Explore Llangollens back streets, inuding the areas by the river. Good park walk and coffee etc at Plas Newydd ( Ladies of Llangollen fame) Llangollen is easy to explore on foot but not always easy to navigate by car.

Llangollen is a beautiful gem in a lush Welsh valley. The locals were so friendly. Lical produce is high quality and delicious. Scenery is breathtaking. Lots to do and a central location in North Wales, an hour from the coast and 30 mins from Chester

The road up to the accommodation is quite steep and with a few very sharp bends. This was already pointed out to us in the owners write up as a possible problem which a few people found difficulty with. We did not have any problems with this.

Lovely little town on the river in a beautiful area with great walks and outdoor activities. We usually try to eat at Fouzis at least once when visiting. Great Italian restaurant. Great walk to Trevor along the canal, then lunch at the old chapel across the road, when youve walked across the aquaduct. About 5 miles each way but on the flat. Also walk to Horseshoe Falls in the opposite direction, just a couple of miles each way. We were lucky with the weather but sways best to take a raincoat!

The hotel is set in a beautiful location. There is also a (steam?) train station on the other side of the river. It is very convenient for Llangollen as well as many fantastic hikes. The river is very noisy, but the our room was on the other side of the hotel and very quiet. The staff were nice and helpful. I would happily stay again.

Lovely welcome. For a B&B the extras in the room were amazing, and better than most hotels I've stayed in. Room was very clean and staff really friendly and helpful. Parking is free and secure and the B&B is so close to everything in Llangollen.

Lovely authentic inn in the middle of Llangollen. Friendly staff and great wine. The oldest wine bar in Wales apparently. Also, the biggest TV I've ever seen in a hotel room.
