The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and the valet service removed the challenges of parking in a walled city. Dinner in the bar was delicious and well-priced. The room was well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable.

Amazing little Boutique hotel within the walls of Derry...we visited Derry last year and found this gem of a place for an evening meal and wanted to visit for a stay. A welcoming phonecall from Chantelle to ask if we needed any help was the start of the first class treatment we received from every member of staff. The food was devine, for both dinner and breakfast. The rooms were comfortable and tasteful. I visited with my sister and my friends, we all felt the same way...The Shipquay hotel was faultless and we very much look forward to many more visits...
On the banks of the River Foyle, City Hotel has a fine restaurant, modern fitness centre and free limited on-site parking.

We are a couple in our 80's and still attend keep fit classes,we achieved our daily target walks in our travel throughout Derry City,we had one exception to our routine as we took a Taxi to the City Cemetery to visit John Hume's grave, one of our big hero's.We crossed the famous peace Bridge and strolled around the many views from there. Our Hotel was the essence of friendliness alway willing to help and direct you.The hills the City is built on are an exceptional challenge. The reward however are the many interesting and historical places and artificics around the City are most interesting including all the big Cannon Pieces. We had proper footware which is a must on the many steps, you may climb. We were spoiled by our Hotel food, and our favourite tipples which were available was an extra surprise. What did I not like, now this is very hard to say,we hit some bad weather, which curtailed our adventure around the city,in lieu of some walks I was dragged into some of the many popular stores around the City, let me tell you all ic the big brands are here and I was not quite prepared for the amount of stores we visited.I an not a shopping person but for the sake of our marriage I duly tagged along with the store visits.Returning to the Hotel each night was the big treat a few of my favorite tipples and good food was always a great end to the day.

The Guildhall is a hidden gem is a working building as it is still used by the council. It is free to visit and a fantastic experience. Most of the stained glass windows in this building were damaged or destroyed by bombs during the troubles. They have all been lovingly restored or replaced and not to be missed.

Room overlooking the river an view over Guildhall clock, exceeded expectation.
Ability to extend checkout was much appreciated, even though charged for.
Enjoyed 2 meals in the bar Coppins. Helpful staff at all places.
We liked the location, easy accessible to station and city attractions.
Room didnt have a nice view, it looked out on to the roof top with a large fan outside the window, i asked if any other rooms were available and was moved to a room with a great view of the guildhall & peace bridge on the 4th floor
The location was perfect, so handy to everything. Lovely view of river and Guildhall. We were able to park in the underground car park. The concierge was so helpful and accommodating.
Central location inside the city walls surrounded by good places to eat and drink, abundance of shops (both chains and independent) and incredible places of interest. Peace bridge, Guildhall, the Walls, the museum and Free Derry corner are all mere minutes away.
Met by the lovely Emmett who told us the history of the property and showed us round. The rooms are lovely, comfy and beautifully designed. Breakfast was excellent and we loved the little pastries on our communal landing. Location only a 10 minute walk to the Guildhall.
Kevin greeted us warmly and showed us around to the breakfast room and gave us all sorts of Derry info and visiting suggestions. The B&B location is fantastic! Just a block away from pubs and the central Guildhall. Also recommend the local walking tour with Bogside €10, the murals meant so much more with the guide’s input. Kevin’s recommendation of the Dungloe Bar for food and drink was fantastic! Ireland (and especially this bar) give “pub grub” a whole new meaning!!
