The guys in the bar were helpful and friendly. The dining room looked ok, but I never ate there as you can order dining room food and eat in the bar area which is more casual. I did not have a car and finally figured out a way to walk to town out the back of the hotel that avoided the main road which has high speed cars flying by.

The walk to Steall Falls is great - woodlands, gorge, meadows, falls - go early to avoid crowds and do you can secure a parking spot. You need to drive right to the end of the Glen Nevis road - it is single track most of the way.

Fort William is at the cross roads of the West Central...
Fort William is at the cross roads of the West Central Highlands and worth a couple of day stop. We contacted a local tour guide and spent the day in the three glen's. He timed the visit to Glenfinnian for the "Harry Potter" railroad viaduct so photos could be taken of the train on the viaduct. Afterward the Bonney Prince Charley monument across the highway. Glen Nevis is a narrower valley and more photogenic. Glencoe is more broad and harder to photograph to get a view of the valley in one picture. It is the home to the infamous treachery of one clan against another. Finally ride the Jacobite train.

Location is great. Everything new and working. Great kitchen. Free tea and coffee. Nice rooms. Good shower. Warm, comfortable. Drying room excellent. Very nice staff. Great views of Glen Nevis.
The apartment is a sort of terraced house. It is big (even for a family of four), well equipped and comfortable. It is also very clean. The host is very responsive, with a great communication. The location is pretty good as well. It is on the same road (and near) the most interesting hiking trails. I can recommend "Glen Nevis Apartment" without any hesitation.
Glen Nevis is perfect for anyone interested in hiking in the area. We could hear the stream from our room which was lovely. It was clean, friendly, and wonderfully located.
