Amazing hotel, very quirky and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in and room was lovely and warm on a cold and windy day. Amazing cooked breakfast too.

Well it’s just been refurbed but highlight - location, cost and nice personal touches so sweets in rooms, pastries, Elemis wash and creams , complimentary sweets and oranges and min pies. Complimentary taxi collection and service within an eight mile radium’s was invaluable to get to The red lion!

Carisbrooke is a pleasant location. There are good bus services to Newport and to other parts of the island, either directly or via Newport. Sky available on the television. A short walk from Carisbrooke Castle.
My third time of staying as an annual trip. Excellent old pub with great accommodation and very friendly staff. breakfast was excellent as were any meals I had during the day. The location, near Carisbrooke Castle, is an excellent base for most of the walking trails right from the middle of the Island.

Great breakfast at reasonable price. Rooms are on the upper floor, while a bar on the ground floor. At night they launched a music party, played guitars and finished before sleep time. The bar was on the edge of town, so it was quiet and dark at night. Near to the Carisbrooke castle.
Great location with 3 bus lines connecting Newport centre which gets you basically everywhere on IoW. We took a short walk to Carisbrooke castle to enjoy the views. Room is clean and comfy with a double and a single bed.
The friendly greeting and the customer focus we and others experienced during our stay. The menu is extensive catering for all tastes and the food was exceptionally good quality and also value for money, The breakfast was exceptional. An unexpected bonus to our stay delayed by a storm and cancelled ferry. A local pub that caters for regulars and overnight short stay customers. In some ways an old fashion pub but well maintained and well managed ideally located for Carisbrooke castle and Newport.
