The room was large and clean, it was very quiet considering it's location, very close to the station, we parked our car in the station car park, it's about a 5 minute walk from there.
Good value for the money, breakfast was good too.

It's a nice hotel. The lift was appreciated. The roo. was good-sized (for European standards), clean and comfortable. However, there was a buth tub with a shower... that didn't have either a bathroom courtain nor a glass partition, so showering or washing your hair was a challenge

If you're interested in visiting an apple tree that is a direct descendant of the tree that inspired Sir Isaac Newton's theory of gravity, you can find one at Cambridge University Botanic Garden. Another direct descendant is growing in front of Trinity College, which he attended. If you want to see the original tree, which is located at Woolsthorpe Manor, it is around a 2-hour drive from Cambridge. The property is owned by the National Trust and is open to visitors.

We were members of the Botanical Gardens for six years.
We were members of the Botanical Gardens for six years. It is a great place to relax and visit through the seasons. It has a lovely winter garden that it quite colorful even in January. It also has green houses and an orchid festival so it can be a good place to visit even when you are visiting in Nov-Feb. During the spring, summer, and late summer, however, it is obviously the most beautiful. There are gardens laid out by plant taxonomy which are quite interesting. There is a lovely pond and rock garden. There are also interesting beds such as the timing of introduction of plants to the UK from other parts of the world as well as the evolution of roses. It's also a great safe place for kids to run around or just to relax. The cafe has nice indoor and outdoor seating and is actually housed in the garden side of the Sainsbury Laboratory building. The Sainsbury building was architectural building of the year in the UK the year it was built and is a really beautiful contemporary design, some of which you can see from the cafe. Otherwise, access is restricted generally to University members. The Garden also has a number of seasonal events. If you happen to be present in autumn for the Apple Festival, the ticket gets you into the tent where you can try samples of 30+ species of apples and then buy these varieties, which are rarely available in stores. You can enter the garden either from Hills Rd (east side of the garden) or off Trumpington St (west side of garden) just at the intersection with Bateman St.

Not good value for money at £6.30 per person.
Not good value for money at £6.30 per person. Not many flowers or anything really interesting either. We booked online, and it was sold out on Bank Holiday Monday hmmmm.
Entry should be no more than £3 PP. My partner is a keen gardner, and she wasn't impressed either!
