It ticked all the boxes & then some, and we were overwhelmed by the whole experience, nothing was too much trouble for them, they delivered the bouquet to the table as we had dinner as I had previously arranged, and they even put the flowers in a vase & kept the box so we could transport them home. The meal was very good & well worth the money. Everything was at a high standard that we were suprised that it was only a 3 star. Thank you so much making our annerversary so special.

Open-plan and open-minded, Cambridge is best known for universities dating to the 13th century. King’s College is the most popular, and its chapel choir is internationally famous. Although accessed from cobbled King’s Parade, it is best viewed from a punt on The Backs, the part of the River Cam behind.
Taking a flat bottomed punt in Cambridge is an institution and gives great views of Queen’s College Mathematical Bridge and the Bridge of Sighs at St John’s College. Upstream is Jesus Green, site of an outdoor pool and a fantastic beer festival. Next to this is Midsummer Common, a park home to the annual Strawberry Fair (and the occasional cow). Opposite are the college boathouses - get up early to see the rowers in action!
Cows also roam the Mill Pond meadow, where the river leads south to Grantchester, a quaint village with a lovely cafe. Places to eat in Cambridge include riverside restaurants and typical English pubs like The Eagle, drinking hole of DNA founders Watson & Crick.
Cambridge shopping options include a daily market (in Market Square), the Grafton Centre and the exclusive Grand Arcade, the latest addition. The Scott Polar Museum and free Fitzwilliam Museum are 2 of many fantastic Cambridge museums.
Stansted Airport is connected by train to the city’s accommodations choices on Booking.com.
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL CITY. SO INTERESTING AND SO MUCH TO LEARN.
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL CITY. SO INTERESTING AND SO MUCH TO LEARN. THE LONGER YOU STAY THE MORE YOU FIND. SADLY I MISSED A LOT AS I DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO REALLY SOAK IT ALL IN. CAMBRIDGE YOU HAVE IT ALL!

Cambridge is a beautiful city with many places to explore.
Cambridge is a beautiful city with many places to explore. It has a lot of open spaces and a lot of history. I really enjoyed sitting in the gardens of Downing college. I had a great lunch in Waterstones cafe. It is very easy to get around on foot as Cambridge is a small city but if you wish to travel further out of the main city centre then there are plenty of regular buses, taxis, uber and a train station. Be careful walking on the old cobbled streets!

A must visit city.
A must visit city. There is so much culture, history and art. Lovely restaurants, with lots of independents, and plenty of markets, shopping, etc. It can get very crowded so start your sightseeing early and don't pick a weekend stay. When the students are on vacation is also a good time to visit.

Cambridge is a vibrant mixture of historic buldings and modern shopping. Watching drunken punters on the Cam was diverting, though none of them actually fell in to the river by some miracle.
We walked the length and breadth of the centre of the city and thoroughly enjoyed it. We used a multi storey car park next to Parker's Piece where there was plenty of space and which was not as expensive as we had expected. Wear comfortable shoes - we walked about 5 miles.
It is a city that exudes its self-confidence without being intimidating. Watch out for cyclists - they are everywhere in the city, with helmet users being a distinct minority.

The city is rich in museums, historic buildings and cultural events.
Fine nature reserves (Wicken Fen, Fowlmere, Kingfishers Bridge) and pubs in the area (The Green Man, The White Hart, The Old Ferry Boat). Avoid parking in shopping malls - it would be cheaper to take a taxi!
Our superior room was beautifully decorated and had some little extra touches that made it quite special. For example, the lovely proper teapot and cups and saucers ... very welcoming after a day out walking around Cambridge. Also the accent vases and cushions, etc. .... it felt like we were staying in a fine home rather than a hotel with items secured to tables and walls. The weekend breakfast buffet was one of the best we have ever had, while the regular breakfast table service on the Monday was also very excellent.
Ideally located just a short journey from Cambridge city centre. Bus stop directly across from the hotel entrance avoiding the difficulties that obtaining parking in the city brings. Fantastic reception staff and the hotel itself exuded modernity, cleanliness, wonderful facilities and utter charm amid a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Thank you, Hyatt Cambridge
