clean warm spacious room. comfy beds. great location.
Norwood Guesthouse was clean and comfortable. We had a room to the back of the guesthouse, so it was quiet. Having access to a washing machine was a consideration for us. For our purposes, close to the train station and walking distance to the pub, the Loch and Balloch Castle Country Park, it was well located. The breakfast for 5 pounds was certainly worth it. Peter was welcoming, friendly and helpful in advising us of a suitable day excursion.
A lovely friendly experience and the hosts go out of their way to ensure that everything is perfect. Breakfast was lovely and they gave us great tips for making the most of our visit. The location was beautiful and just across the road from Balloch Castle Country Park. Parking is just around the corner and the small town has a railway station and boat trips up Loch Lomond. We would love to go again.
Everything was great. The kitchen was well equipped for us to make our own meals and the lounge was perfect for chilling in the evenings, it even had a small collection of games. The location was perfect for us as we were completing the Glasgow Kiltwalk while we were there and it’s within easy walking distance of shops and Balloch Castle Country Park. Oh, and we loved the view of the bridge and stream from the kitchen window.
