We were assigned to a room that had a terrible smell, and we had to insist to get changed. It was really bad, no way you could sleep there. But after we complained they gave us a superior room, that had spectacular views of the city. So they did solve the problem, and it was a good solution. Staff was responsive and helpful.
Located in the historic district in central Paris, the 4-star Hotel Malte - Astotel is only 2133 feet from the Louver Museum. It features an interior courtyard and a 24-hour front desk.

The staff was super welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay special. Our room was quiet and really charming. The bottle of Champagne for New Year's Eve was a thoughtful touch, and the complimentary mini bar was a nice bonus.
The breakfast buffet was amazing, and even though we didn’t try the complimentary snack bar, it was a great option to have..
In the 9th Arrondissement in Paris, Hotel Basile is a 2 minute walk from Place de la Madeleine and less than half a mile from Opéra Garnier.

location was fantastic! Rooms were very clean, nice size and comfortable. ( We had two rooms). Bathrooms were super - ours was very large with a full sized tub! Breakfast was yummy. Staff were pleasant and helpful. No complaints for our stay at all.
I spent hours here! I got there early and bee-lined straight to the Mona Lisa because I knew that would get crowded, then continued for hours exploring mostly the impressionists: room after room, after room. INCREDIBLE!

Always good.
Always good. Went twice - first time for Impressionist exhibition and second time for the 150th anniversary VR show - was a bit annoyed that we had to pay an entry fee to MO as well as to the special VR show fee.

Again as I have said before get the Paris Museum Pass help us avoid a longer line, and the museum has so much beautiful art, and well laid out for the most part by year so easy to follow and understand the changes in art. And the food in the museum is better than any museum resturant I have ever been too, and better than most regular resturants in the US.

Half a day is the minimum you need there.
Half a day is the minimum you need there. The building is amazing, the expositions are amazing, the view on the Seine is great from the big clock.
The baggage check is quite strict, not even the small water bottles are allowed.

Art Nouveau features in this museum on the second floor, along with some sculptures by Camille Claudel, assistant and lover of Auguste Rodin. A wonderful museum can one can view in a few hours. I didn't get to visit the auxiliary museum nearby, but hope to on a future visit to Paris.

The exhibitions are great,
though also some bad experience:
there was actually less queueing for visitors without prebooked tickets
the cloakrooms were not operate with arguments for Covid-19 well after the restrictions were all resolved (laziness, saving on labour?)
You don't need to use any transportation except to go to distant areas like airports or Disneyland. You can walk everywhere. (Louvre museum, Notre-Dame, Saint Germain, D'orsay museum, Eiffel, Tuileries Garden...)
There are many restaurants, pubs, markets and bakeries around the house.
