The outstanding feature of this little hotel for me was the staff. In an era where many hotels are unstaffed at night, and have a single desk staff person frowning over frantic emails, the Hotel du Collège de France typically had two young staff people at their front desk. They were exceptionally cordial, genuine, and responsive. Communication by WhatsApp was rapid and completely satisfying. The "real" quality of these staffers, their warmth and humor, made the hotel feel like a refuge from the fast-paced, crowded city outside.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. You should stay in the new part of the hotel. Our original room was not so great but when we moved to the new part it was very nice.

Walking distance (even with big bags) from Gare de Lyon, friendly staff, great amenities and common areas. The ability to get a coffee at any hour was great. The room and the entire hotel was very clean and organized. Loved the size and firmness of the king bed. And the tablet that controls everything in the room (tv, lights, temp) was very modern and cool.
The location is very good. Close to Gare de Lyon station, grocery stores, and restaurants. The value for the money is unquestionable. It’s very small but the price as compared to other 3 bedrooms in the area is less by 300%. Everything that you need is provided.
