Nice has lots going for it.
Nice has lots going for it. It's a bustling, busy city in summer, and even pleasant to visit in winter as the daytime temperatures rarely go below 12-15ºC. The Old Town and Flower Market are great for exploring, Jean Médecin has great shopping, there's the beach and Promenade of course, and the old port area has charm too. Great connections for day trips by train along the Côte d'Azur, Monaco etc. Good bus network too. Easy and quick transfer from the airport on the tram. The main issue is finding good restaurant food. It does exist but you have to do the research and avoid the literally hundreds of tourist trap places in the main streets. If you like ice cream, then Fennocio in Place Rossetti is a must. It's worth the inevitable queue!

Nice is a dream location for beach loving travelers. It has series of beautiful towns along the beach, all very scenic & maintained to perfection. The infrastructure for tourists is superb. One can travel the entire French Riviera for 5 days in Euro 35 Rail pass which is valid on all modes of local transport. Highly recommended.
Monaco is out of this world location, full of glitterati, dream like streets with high end brands & a beautiful casino. Monaco Grand Prix is added attraction.

Great location, easy to get around Nice, Tram nearby, great stores, restaurants and bars! The only thing you have to look out for are the cars and scooters, they drive a little fast and are not pedestrian friendly! Nice is really a nice place to visit and I recommend Hotell 66 for sure!

The place is very close to different amazing city like cannes and Monaco. Therefore, it would be a very good basement to live and access other city as well. The city have a amazing sea view that you could enjoy it not only from the beach but also from the mountain. THe Art museum is also worth to go for seeing the amazing work form Chagall

Beautiful city, the only thing I didn't like was the planes flying over the Bay of Nice (but they stopped after the first day I was there thankfully).Easy to get around with the trams, I was able to take trips to Villefranche-sur-Mer (through the coastal path walk) and Antibes (by train). Lovely bakeries, lots of shops available, the beach was lovely and the weather absolutely gorgeous for December (though could get a bit cold at night).

We normally use 4/5 star hotels with bars, pools etc but this wax the end of a drving holiday and there was limited availability in Nice. We took a big chance, as it wasn't cheap, we booked too rooms snd overall we were very happy. Tram is very close to Airport or City. We were on 7th floor and had sea view between apartments facing, lovely. Its one block back from the sea/Prom. We absolutely loved Nice and staff here were really nice. Aircons almost too good.
this was the highlight of our stay in France! Fabio was by far the best host. All his recommendations for Nice were perfect and all though our stay was only 3 days, we managed to squeeze in almost all of the sight seeing in that time. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms comfortable, clean and the coffee machine in the room and croissant we received every morning a lovely touch.
Hotel Rossetti is a most delightful small place right next to the cathedral in the old town of Nice. The standard of all facilities is high. I was so impressed with the excellent room service and the friendliness of the staff. We had a very comfortable room with truly first rate shower. Thanks so much. I highly recommend.
Brilliant location in Nice Old Town, close to public transport and the beach. I had a great room on the beach and 6th floor the view must be one of the best in Nice, ar night it was amazing.
Very cute boutique hotel, right next to the train station which makes it easy to explore South of France while being based in Nice. Staff were lovely and the room was clean.
