Is near the old Gare de Sud station. Now a thriving food court where there’s a good sports bar. Sunday morning huge fruit and veg market. No need for a car. Frequent buses. Trams and trains along the coast. Weather? More sun than in uk. But cold at night.

A charming attractive friendly town.
A charming attractive friendly town. The Italian style old town is delightful. It was a pleasure to be there in December with sunny days at 17 degrees C and few tourists. Great art galleries:Chagall and Matisse. Superb Photographic museum close to market. Excellent restaurants everywhere. The tram and bus service is great. Buy a card, no payment on board. The Promenade des Anglais is compulsively walkable. If you’re happy to have a coffee for €12 you can explore the stunning ground floor of the Hotel Negresco. Don’t miss the view from the top of the hill and the sublime waterfall.

Nice was beautiful and reminded us of home (Cape Town) with the promenade and beach. We loved that it wasn't as chaotic as some of the other European cities we'd visited before Nice. It is walkable and transport around the city is easily accessible and new. Nice is a great location to use as a base, as various villages and towns are a train ride away. We visited Eze and Monaco. The restaurants are varied from cost-effective to high-end. Lot's to choose from.

I liked the sunshine the most.
I liked the sunshine the most. While Paris was sheltering under the threat of snow we had beautiful warm and sunny days. The people are friendly and there is enough buzz in the place to make it fun, even though it is a relatively small town.

Only a couple of minutes walk due south from Nice Ville Station; so very convenient if using the train. Also only 15 minutes to a tram stop (Jean Médecin) that takes you to both airport terminals for a ridiculously cheap price. France's public transport shames the UK's expensive shambles.
The hotel was really nice. Excellent value. Very clean room and bathroom. Easy walk to any shopping, or the Promenade des Anglais, or joining up with American tourists getting ripped off in the Old Town.
Great value for money and in a fun area, you can easily go to the port, old town, the castle, nice streets with restaurants and shops, galleries by foot. The room was better than expected, the interior is a little bit older but it works for the hotel and everything is kept really clean. The bed was comfortable, the shower is nice and you have a water boiler for coffee and tea. No frills but it's a decent room. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
This is a Fab hotel with a wonderful roof-top pool, bar and restaurant - incredible views across the whole bay. Great service and food. It is worth paying the extra if you can for a room at the front with a sea view - going to sleep with the moon over the sea & waking up to a view across the Med is so restorative. It's a 45 minute stroll along the promenade to the Old Town of Nice but the trams also go regularly from behind the hotel & are v cheap.
Exceptionally friendly staff and a great location especially if you're looking for something in the near vicinity of the Nice airport (which is not too far from the City Center anyway, considering the size of Nice itself). Great value for money, well-sized bathrooms which is an absolute rarity for most hotels in France and very close to public transport (Trams 2 and 3). Great experience overall !!
Location, location, location! Right on the beach with the most spectacular views of the ocean and the old town of Nice. I would highly recommend this hotel for comfort, room size, location and view. Ticks all boxes!
