Sagrada Familia
A large Wari village, Pikillaqta was mysteriously abandoned in 1,100 AD and soon after set ablaze. Despite ancient attempts at arson, the site is still amazingly intact. You’ll wander the streets and plazas past the temples, communal buildings, homes and storage structures – some of the buildings are an impressive four stories tall!

Love every inch of it.
Love every inch of it. Is so unique and colourful, and the light is amazing. A lot of tourists, very crowded. You have different types of tickets, if you want to see one of the tower, you have to pay more and we didn’t know, we found out inside.

From the outside spectacular but the queues were very long when we got there and no shade. We decided not to wait as it was scorching so buy tickets in advance to skip the queues they were working on the outside of the building and had cranes and scaffolding which took from the beauty a little but I guess maintenance is very important. Still, it was wonderful to see

More moving than I expected.
More moving than I expected. Go at the end of the day so the light is really streaming through the stained glass windows. Also leave time to walk around the basilica afterwards. You need to really appreciate all the detail on the exterior.

One of the most majestic, breathtaking, and unforgettable places in the world. The interior is mesmerizing.Take a guided tour. Gaudi was a genius with a child's imagination. Without his artwork (cathedral, private homes, parks) Barcelona would be boring . Try to see them all.

Hire a guide or read up ahead of visiting.
Hire a guide or read up ahead of visiting. I thought it was just pretty weird architecture until the depth of devotion, engineering, and detail it represents was explained by my guide - who was passionate about it. Despite the BIG crowds, I ended up being moved by Gaudi's vision.

We were there March, 2024.
We were there March, 2024. If you visit only one site in Barcelona, this has to be it. Make sure you get your ticket ahead of time or you may find yourself waiting a long time in line. We recommend you get your tickets for the late afternoon when the sun rays are low and shine through the stained glass windows. Guaranteed--you will remember the sight for the rest of your life, just take time and soak it in. It gets crowded inside so take your time. Yes, go up one of the towers. And, go to the basement exhibit to get the story about the Sagrada's building(not complete). Also, go across the street to the parks on both sides to get full views of the breadth of the structure(each side different). A wonder.

We rented 2 apartments for a group of 9 and it was very conveniently located near Sagrada Familia and Metro stops. Apartment had 3 bedrooms and 2 baths with enough space for everybody to split out. The lower unit had a court yard which was enjoyable to get some fresh air.
Hotel Aranea has a great location in Barcelona, while not in the city's center, it is close to the Sagrada Familia, Avenedia Diagonal, and Barcelona Nord for quick transit options on public transit via metro or bus. It's worth the stay based on the location alone! Also, there is a good breakfast from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. daily. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful if you have any questions.
The hotel staff was amazing. The manager met us at the door and help with our luggage to our rooms. The view of the Sagrada Familia from our bedroom is breathtaking. I would recommend this location if you are planning on visiting Spain.
The enjoybcn apartment is next to Sagrada Familia. Nice views from terrace. My family liked it very much. The shops, grocery stores are very close by. Always lively location, very great location. Taxi services are available all the time. The taxi comes within few mins and prices are very reasonable. The apartment is in prime location, clean, property management is very responsive whenever need information. Kudos to overall to the property management.
The hotel was clean and well located, walking distance to main attractions like Sagrada Familia and Casa Batllo, and also to the subway which is super easy to use in Barcelona. The room and the bathroom were clean and spacious. The breakfast was very nice! Great options specially considering I'm vegetarian.
I strongly recommend and would stay there again!
We had a wonderful stay in Barcelona! The location was perfect, just a few blocks from the Sagrada Familia and very close to a metro station, making it super convenient to explore the city. There was even a supermarket right next door, which was a big plus. The apartment was well-equipped with all the kitchen facilities we needed, which made it ideal for staying with kids. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it!
First of all, we arrived too late and the owner was very patient to answer me on time for anything needed. I also had a small misunderstanding about the check-in procedure which was resolved in no time.
As for the apartment itself, it was very clean, big enough and the furnitures were very comfortable and fully functional.
The location is perfect, next to Sagrada Familia.
Very strategic move to have booked a stay in this particular apartment for someone who visits Barcelona for the second time.
The location of this apartment is great for accessing Sagrada Familia and other top sites in Barcelona. We liked the views from the balcony. It was well decorated and we appreciated having a washer/dryer combo for laundry and a dishwasher. The bedrooms have plenty of space and the large closet was nice for keeping luggage out of the way. Despite other reviews, we had no issues with the shower at the time of our visit.
This apartment is truly amazing! It is wonderfully situated one block from Sagrada Familia and walking distance to all of the best sites in Barcelona. The apartment is perfect for 2-6 people and is very clean, uncluttered and comfortable. The view of Sagrada Familia morning, noon and night is awe-inspiring! We spent a month here and LOVED IT!

The square just off the Ramblas is the place to dine its the ultimate Mediterranean lifestyle experience eating and relaxing with drinks into the small hours. During the day taking in the cultural side of things such as the picasso museum, the sagrada familia and parc guill are great places. The early evening can be spent at the port / marina or the camp nou taking in a Barca game.
