All roads lead to Plaza Mayor. Enjoy the ambience, wander around, take plenty of photos but do not buy anything. Over priced tourist tat. Do not be tempted to wander into any cafe, bar or restaurant - over priced and not the real Spain. Make an effort to go where the locals go and you'll see the difference.

Magnificent Plaza. Just go get a cup of coffee and people watch for 2 hours. That's why I would do again and again. Great Architecture, great atmosphere, just a great place to watch the world go by.

Popular plaza for souvenirs or a local snack. We tried Calamari on a bun called Calamares for only 2.95 euros in a charming little tavern which advertising in the window. Just around the corner in a large Tapas hall, Calamares were 6.5 euros. I can recommend the Fruit sticks there for only 2 euros. Segway guided tours are offered across from the Tapas. Great way to see any city. If you have not done this before they are seriously easy to control & ride.

Location is in the heart of the city, 2 steps from Mercado San Miguel and Plaza Mayor. The best expression for the apartment is that it is "rustic" - being part of an old building. The kettle is traditional a so is the coffeemaker (bring your own ground coffee). Lot of storage for clothes.
Location was absolutely amazing. Steps from the Plaza Mayor. 15 minute walk to the city centre, Sol, and 20 minutes to Malasana. The rooms were so comfortable and the 2 pillows they provide were really appreciated. Renting towels cost 2.50 euros, but compared to other hostels that charge over 5 euros, this will a relatively good price. The staff are so friendly and I've built such a great rapport with them. They are truly happy to be here!

The staff was extremely helpful and always present. The location is excellent just 2 minutes from plaza Mayor. The apartment was clean and well arranged. When in Madrid again will return for sure. The kids enjoyed the stay like at home ❤️.

I liked the room I was given. It was on a quiet floor and it was a great place to rest after a long journey to get to Madrid. I rented 2 rooms since I was traveling with my adult daughter and her boyfriend. I especially liked the bathroom. I like that the toilet had its own private door. I have actually stayed at this hotel back in 1999 but it wasn't renovated as it is now. I like this hotel because of the location. It was easy to get to the museum row as well as the Puerto del Sol and Plaza Mayor neighborhoods.
