All roads lead to Plaza Mayor.
All roads lead to Plaza Mayor. Enjoy the ambience, wander around, take plenty of photos but do not buy anything. Over priced tourist tat. Do not be tempted to wander into any cafe, bar or restaurant - over priced and not the real Spain. Make an effort to go where the locals go and you'll see the difference.

Magnificent Plaza.
Magnificent Plaza. Just go get a cup of coffee and people watch for 2 hours. That's why I would do again and again. Great Architecture, great atmosphere, just a great place to watch the world go by.

The host Fernando was very helpful, always stayed in touch, he gave us all the instructions how to enter the apartment, so it was easy.The locacion is perfect, there is everything close to the apartment-places to eat, metro, centre of the city, Gran via, Plaza Mayor, just 10 minutes walking. The room was clean, with a good equipped kitchen, own bathroom. There is electrical heating, which is necessery if you travel in the winter time.
The hotel is ideally located just steps from Plaza Mayor, making it incredibly convenient for visiting all the major attractions on foot. The breakfast offered was both delicious and healthy. The only downside was that the rooms are a bit on the smaller side, and the shower area is open to the room, which might not offer the most privacy. Overall, a pleasant stay with a fantastic location!"
You can’t get any more central than this! Right next to Plaza Mayor, very close to 2 metro stations. A ton of shops, bars and restaurants on the really nice pedestrian streets surrounding it. It was very quiet, despite what are reviews say, but we had an inner courtyard apartment.
location was great, super close to plaza mayor and mercado de san miguel. the apartment was well furnished (very tastefully too) and had very well functioning facilities. it was also really easy to access, all doors had different codes so it felt super safe. the management was also very helpful any time i needed assistance. definitely a well maintained property!

I really liked the apartment. The best thing is the location. Just only few minutes and you are already in the best places around Madrid like Peurta Del Sol or Plaza Mayor.
1. Great location. Bus stop hardly 2mins, supermarket n eateries are 5mins away. 15-20mins walk to Plaza Mayor, Cathedral n Madrid Palace.

The hotel is very close to Plaza Mayor so everything is walking distance here. The is near El Oso y el Madroño Plaza, beloved statue of The bear by the tree, very iconic. We walked everywhere from the hotel as everything is within walking distance. The metro Sol is at the plaza so if you need to travel far, the Sol metro will connect you with whole Madrid. The washroom was quite large, compared to the size of the room, it was almost the same size as the whole bed room.
I was very sick and the hotel was very helpful.

Don't go to any of the "eat as much as you can".
Don't go to any of the "eat as much as you can". It was the only tourist trap we encountered. North to Plaza Mayor street you'll find very good and fancy restaurants. South to this street you will find great othentic Spanish and south American restaurants and a little bit further you'll find real othentic and very good chinese restaurants.
