Perfect for our purposes. Shuttle bus from airport was on time. Chicken was easy. We were only staying one night as we were travelling on next day with a flight to S America from Madrid. Advice regarding food from reception staff was great as we found a small tapas bar just nearby that was just what we wanted. There shuttle back to the airport was just what we required. An excellent stay. Thanks

Just a brief walk from Charmatin station/metro, this was really convenient for me and my travels. It looks a very average towerblock from the outside but once you're inside it is really very pleasant. The receptionists were polite and efficient with excellent English, and my room was large and modern and airy if a little plain and characterless. The bathroom was nice and big and bright too. The beds were 2 separate ones pushed together (I had asked for a double) and were on wheels on a wood-style floor so moved a little when you turned over a night. Three lifts serve the tower so one does not take long to arrive. The breakfast (which was in the room price) was really excellent - huge, varied, tasty, fresh and all-you-can-eat - one of the best I've had in a hotel with very efficient staff that cleared tables almost instantly as you left. Great value for Madrid.

This is a classic hotel that still has some charm and is reasonably renovated. The staff are friendly and the room itself is good. The bathroom is especially nicely renovated. It was also nice to have a small balcony. The metro stations weren't too far away to get to the many interest points in Madrid, and locally there were some very good international food options - a lot from Latin American countries.

It has something for everyone. Recommend the Madrid city hop on bus to get an idea of where to go and what to see. Recommend the Rui Hotel on grand via to see the panoramic views. Visited the Bernabéu stadium with my son (even though I’m not a football fan) but was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it, lots of stairs on the way down though and lots of walking around so wear comfortable shoes! Food and service everywhere we ate was amazing.

Travelling and moving around the capital is affordable , safe , fast & keep perfect timing. We always use Bolt in Europe. Being in a central hotel brings you close to lots of places to visit, sites, restaurants, museums, etc. Pity we did not use more ways of travel on buses & metro. Life in general is not expensive while for us, Spanish food was simple exquisite.

Far fewer rip-offs aimed at tourists than most capital cities. Comprehensive and cheap public transport. Supermarkets everywhere (in the centre at least) making prices very competitive.
It may seem surprising, but Madrid is a lot cheaper than Barcelona.

As with any trip, you need to be organised, do your homework, know whatis wortrh seeing and how to get there. For example, one of the big attractions in Madrid is the Rastro outdoor market which is only open on Sundays. Then there is the Prado Museum....book online and save queueing , check for any discounts
Learn at least a few basic phrases in Spanish. It will be much appreciated. It will get you a smile, quicker service and maybe even bigger portions

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Madrid
The location is excellent, right in the city centre but quiet, and a short walk away from several metro stations. The room was large enough and it was cleaned well every day. The mattress was good and two pillows were provided: a thin, soft one and a thicker one, so you can choose which one you like best. All hotels should do this. In addition, there is a small desk, excellent wifi and airconditioning. Friendly staff. When I return to Madrid I will definitely consider staying at this hotel again.
Very quiet and very comfortable bed. The hotel is 15 minutes' walk to Playa Mayor in the city centre. I was very surprised as comfort and being so quiet for a city centre location in capital city of Spain. I could not fault the room and service. Breakfast was not vast, but still plenty of choices, cereal, cooked, buns, cakes, bread, orange, water etc. Probably best hotel I've stayed in abroad in a city centre location.
This hotel was very clean throughout the whole building. It's in a lovely location overlooking The Manzanares River and only a short walk or bus ride to the city centre and most of the attractions in Madrid.
The staff were all very friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast was my favourite part of the day here.
Location excellent city centre, access to metro which is walking distance. It was our first time in madrid and my did we love it... what a city....unbelievable beauty just like the hotel. The staff in all parts of the hotel are a credit to ye. We will be back
I always return to this hotel when in Madrid, it's good value, the staff are helpful and friendly and although not in the city centre the Metro is close by. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
