Divers have flocked to Sharm El Sheikh for decades because of its clear waters and the huge amount of sea life. Ras Ghamila is one of the Sinai Peninsula's diving highlights and makes a great start for less experienced divers, too. This is partly because of its drift diving, where you can glide over bright outcroppings of table corals and fluttering gorgonian sea fans. If you're lucky you might even see a turtle – if not, the feathertail stingrays, triggerfish, and groupers swimming around are equally impressive.
