Seek out the small hidden café on the side of the mountain, facing Mount Igueldo.. This hidden gem serves cold beer and great coffee, and was an absolute top find. The cool surfer dudes that run the tiny stone café are really friendly and helpful.

Pension located on first floor of a large building. Spacious room with fridge. Your key card gives you access to the building and room at every moment of the day, so very flexible to go in and out as you like. Location near one of the beaches and parking garage within 100 meters. It’s a short walk to the old town where all the pinxtos bars are. It’s also near Monte Urgull that gives you a bit of history and once at the top a spectacular view over the city.
Superior hotel, room was beautiful, service was tops, and the concierge is a Clef d'Or and managed to secure us reservations to a three star Michelin restaurant with 48 hours notice, and the location is RIGHT next to the beach, Monte Urgull, the old town, and, if you're coming from Bilbao, the bus terminal. This is an elite hotel that is shockingly good value in an amazing location in an incredible city, and you should stay here.
