Albaicin
Can you count the shells? This 16th-century palace is covered in the things. It was built by Don Rodrigo Arias de Maldonado, a knight of the Order of Santiago de Compostela. The symbol of this order is the seashell, and he decided that it’d be rather splendid to have them all over his palace. The result is the magnificent Casa de Conchas, a seashell-studded marvel.

Wonderful experience and wonderful views.
Wonderful experience and wonderful views. It is up quite a steep hill. We went on foot but you can also catch one of the small red buses, certainly C32 - I think that there is another one as well. Head for St Nicholas square and you will see a view to die for!

Enjoyed exploring the maze of alleys, got lost a few times but that's ok. We acquired several street maps, the best for us was the one given to us by the tourist office. Good views from Pl.Carvajales and Pl.S.Nicolas.

Whether you're inside Alhambra, or looking at it from the outside; it is awe inspiring. Some of the best views of the Alhambra are from the Albaicin neighbourhood. And while the Mirador San Nicholas is the more popular places, head up further to Mirador San Miguel. Admittedly, it is a bit of a climb. But the climb is completely worth it. Don't forget to soak in the beauty of the neighbourhood as you're walking though. It is as beautiful

The Albaicin, or more correctly Albayzin, is the old muslim part of the town. Very atmospheric is however a place to be avoided after sunset, especially by women. At anytime stay away from the area around Mirador San Nicolas, where pickpockets abound.

What a lovely place to walk around and explore.
What a lovely place to walk around and explore. At night there's the hustle and bustle of the shops lower down the hill, but walk a little bit up you end up in alleys and gorgeous doorways. Also glimpses of the Alhambra at night. Perfect for a great photo in some location. We also climbed higher during the day and had a great view of the city.

Great location for La Alhambra, Albaicin, historic & modern areas of town. A spacious, well equipped suite which was nicely decorated & comfortable. The staff at the 24hr reception of the adjacent hotel with the same name were very friendly & helpful with recommendations, directions, ordering taxis & arranging a clothes rack to dry clothes that I washed in the machine provided.
Very central large spacious room. Hotel is central so you can walk to the Alhambra, Albaicín etc. Staff were great and a nice bar in foyer. Great stay.
The view of Alhambra was outstanding.
Gorgeously decorated apartment.
Clean and safe.
Fantastic location in Albaicin and still a short walk to the city centre.
Beds were comfortable and warm.
Private terraces were lovely.
The location was very central and relatively close to the main historic areas of the Alhambra and Albaicin - both within walking distance. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The optional breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety. The rooftop relaxation area and pool, although relatively small, was a real bonus for both late afternoon wind down in the sun and the stunning views of the whole city.
This is a charming little hotel in an exceptional location in the old town. The staff were friendly, the room was big and the breakfast was more than adequate. It is surrounded by restaurants and bars. Whilst in the tourist area so lots of people around, the Kasbar is almost directly across from it which leads up the hill to some excellent views of the Alhambra and some great tapas in Albaicin.
The location is amazing, everything is within a walking distance.
The apartment is spacious with 2 lovely bed rooms with windows overlooking the Albaicin streets of Granada
We loved the terrace view where we can relax in the morning, or watch the sunset in the evening.
Manu is very friendly, and communicated all the info well in advance which made our check in and out very easy.
We loved the stay and can’t wait to go back.
Great location in the Albaicin. Only 2 minute's walk from the Mirador San Nicholas. View of the Alhambra from the terrace as advertised. Close to the bus for the Alhambra.
Second toilet handy for a 2 bedroom apartment.
Helpful host who went out of her way for me when I left something behind.
Spacious and very clean apartment with a big and comfortable bed. Super close to main attractions such as Granada Cathedral, Albaicin neighborhood (it's on the lower part of Albaicin), and Alhambra. Well connected by public transport (bus) and there are several restaurants and tea houses (teterías) nearby. We had some time in Granada after check-out and were able to leave our luggage in another hotel for a couple of hours.
The apartment was very well equipped with all you could want, including excellent wifi, good shower and high quality fixtures and fittings. The location for the sites in Granada was very good with the Albaicin and Sacromonte regions very close.
Of the three hotels we stayed in this one had the most character and authenticity. The staff were the most friendly we encountered during our holiday (especially Raquel a the front desk). It is also located perfectly for exploring Granada on foot (including the Alhambra). If you are staying here we suggest you visit the Albaicin district.

Explore the smaller streets off the main track, go for a walk in the Albaicin and Realejo without following a map and just walk down whichever street or alleyway looks pleasing to you. There will be lots of little corners well worth discovering.
