Djorff Palace, hotel in Luxor

Djorff Palace has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Luxor.

Djorff Palace was great. The facilities were beautiful, and the surrounding landscape was very enjoyable and peaceful. It was a nice break from Egiptian cities' somewhat hectic atmosphere. Marina, Mohamed, and their whole staff were very kind and accommodating. Our room was clean and comfortable. Its being on the west bank of the river made our commutes a little longer. However, they provide a free* ferry service (*It costs a little if you want to be taken closer to Luxor Temple).

I visited 30 years ago, then the locals just dropped rubbish everywhere, this seems to have stopped. Leave plenty of time if you want to walk the Avenue of the Sphinx, some information boards helped you undertand what you were looking at, restoration work is ongoing, walk around the sides first and enter from the back, in a courtyard, you can see where the Romans plastered over the wall art and put there own.

Interesting but quite difficult to understand because of a lack of knowledge of Egyptyan history. Even if you have a guide it is difficult to remember what it is you have seen. There is very little effort in trying to make it an educational experience which you can remember.

Luxor temple is a must visit.

Luxor temple is a must visit. It's the biggest one and is absolutely fascinating. Even though we started quite early in the morning, there were already groups, however we still managed to get some nice photos without the crowds. I'd recommend to visit with a tour guide to understand what are you looking at.

The Egyptian people are charming and kind but be warned they will take advantage of you regarding your money and tend to be aggressive in Luxor. As a solo traveler do not go to Luxor Temple alone at night. In order to walk the avenue you must pay an entrance fee to Luxor and Karnak. I wanted to walk from Luxor Temple to Karnak Temple by the Avenue of the Sphinx but there was an event happening at Luxor Temple and hours where shortened.

This is a great hotel located right on the Nile. It is a 10 minute drive to the airport. It is also close to several banks within walking distance. There are 2-3 restaurants on site and several bars. They have an amazing pool that we spent a lot of time at. If you didn't have a guide it was located close to Luxor temple as well if you wanted to go at it alone. Do not be afraid to book this hotel!

Best hotel I've ever stayed in in Egypt, cleanest and best breakfast. The best, the staff, are very friendly and help you in everything they can, they made me feel very good, everyone from the reception to the cleaning people. The hotel restaurant is very good and eating on the terrace watching Luxor temple is wonderful. If I return to luxor, I will repeat without hesitation. they are lovely and from here I thank them for a great stay which we will always remember with a lot of love.

The hotel is in a good location next to the Luxor Temple. The staffs are always friendly and welcoming. What I particularly liked was the breakfast. It had a good variety and started from as early as 5:30AM. It allowed us to have a early start and avoided some heat during the middle of the day.

I arrived at the hotel and the location is excellent - by the Nile and close to the center of the city/Luxor Temple. I had to change rooms because it was a smoking room and their guest experience person Maviey quickly changed the room and gave me an even better room. She was super quick and attentive. They have multiple restaurants to choose from.

We stayed at the large two bedroom flat, the larger bedroom was quiet and comfortable, all the facilities needed are in the apartment, laundry included. There is a grocery store about a minute walk across the main street, and a local fast food place next to it. Easy to get to Karnak and Luxor Temples.

The hotel was very nice for our price; it had a nice pool, nice rooms, and a great location. It was within walking distance of the Luxor temple; they had a little shopping center with an ATM where we could exchange dollars for Egyptian pounds. The restaurant served Egyptian food, and you have to try the dessert "Kunafa." It was AMAZING! most of you stay here.

The management is excellent, Ashaf is always willing to help and reply very fast. He help us to coordinate tours and Fellucas to cross to the other side. The apartment has good space, wifi was the best we had in Egypt, the beds and pillows were comfortables and we had a big fridge. In the corner there is a mini market and a pharmacy is just 100 mts away. Easy to cross to Luxor temple by Felluca and 15 min to Valley of the kings. Breakfast was traditional egyptian, spreadable cheese, fried eggs, tomato, cucumber and dates.

    · I really loved the restaurant where they served breakfast and lunch/dinner. I was able to watch the balloons in the morning from the west bank. You can walk across the street to Luxor temple which I liked as well. Wael, the receptionist was super helpful and they also helped us hold luggage in the lobby while we explored our extra day. The value for this hotel is really great and one of our favorite places we stayed in Egypt.
