Wow! Let’s start with the location, at the edge of the souk, with views of the Nile and 3 minutes walk to Luxor temple. Nice, helpful people and a wonderful restaurant on the rooftop with a fabulous breakfast buffet. Reem, in reception, was especially lovely!
Located at the gateway to Luxor, Al Moudira Hotel is the only palace located on the west bank of the Nile. The domes and the patios ornate with arabesque makes up the oriental décor.

The staff was the most attentive hotel team I've had the pleasure of interacting with. They knew our large party by name within one day and made our entire trip seamless. While checking in we requested for an extra bed to be put into one of the rooms and it was done in less than 5 minutes! While the hotel is architecturally jaw dropping- it is the staff that truly make the space special. Mr. Mohamed, one of the hotel managers, especially made a point of ensuring our party had a special stay. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Where to begin!
1. The stunning property - the place is truly dreamy and felt like a cultural immersion with all the comfort and convenience.
2. The exceptional customer service from Samantha & team - Right from after making the reservation till checkout, Samantha took care of everything for us. From providing recommendations and tips for our travels to making Luxor tour bookings to arranging tranfers to/from Luxor to dinner reservations to cab bookings.....we didn't have to worry about anything! She was always just a text away and made sure we were happy and comfortable every step along the way which goes a long way in terms of making you feel at home in a new place. The rest of the staff was also so professional and friendly. They took care of every little detail with so much warmth.
3. The location - the property is close to all the west bank attractions (which has more attractions) and made our very ambitious west bank day feel like a breeze.
4. The food - we loved all the meals we had at the property because they tasted so fresh and home made. The breakfast falafels were to die for - my husband has been raving about them since.
5. The morning views from the room and the garden - the hot air balloons take off from right next to the property so waking up to that view and having that view as the breakfast view is another incredibly dreamy aspect of the property that requires a special shout out.

If you go to the West bank (Valley of the Kings etc) hire a driver to stay with you and drive around. Its a much bigger area than you imagine and cuts out any stress. Not easy to hire a taxi at monuments.

We had a wonderful experience in Luxor Egypt.
We had a wonderful experience in Luxor Egypt. We were there for 11 days. My husband and I we are elders over 70 years old and from America.
Our host at the AdboNile suite was excellent very attentive when we needed gave us space made sure we always had a tour guide or a ride to wherever we needed to go
The culture and so Egypt is very rich in their hearts, and everyone needs to make money and that since I felt a little aggression even when they said there was no hassle
We learned that being kind and honest without being offended that everyone wants your money seem to work well
Best tip get Egyptian change in dollars so you can share tips which makes everyone very happy
When you give someone a dollar that lasts a long time and makes a world of difference to their world
It’s good to have a guide for the temples, but when the guide is done, let them leave and stay and enjoy the temple more
Make sure you always have bottled water
Easy flowing clothing and if you can keep your head covered, that’s good for the women
The men, they really love women. I think men everywhere love women.
My husband was treated very respectfully and so was I the entire time we do love the Egyptian people very much
However, Luxor is not for the meek so if you go and don’t know the language, be sure to have good host with you and there for you
You can always reach out to me if you want more

The city has amazing historical sites and is positioned beautifully along the Nile. Great for some days to explore.
The sad thing is that you get hassled continuously by people trying to aggressively push you to go on Nile trips, carriage rides etc. Also except for the hotel restaurant, there appeared not to be much of international quality in town.

it was our best hotel in Egypt. the staff is very kind, Emad helped us a lot for some activities and he was very nice with us. The room is clean and good, the breakfast is very nice. the view from the rooftop on the Luxor temple is amazing, the restaurant of the hotel is incredible, we ate all our meals there, very good typical Egyptian food. The staff and the waiters are great. Thank you Nefertiti for this very good experience in Luxor. I highly recommend it !
Steingenberger is an excellent chioce for your stay in Luxor. The vieuw on the Nile is spectacular. The hotel has plenty of facilities including a swimming pool with warm water. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Staff is helpful and kind.
You can choose among 3 different restaurants plus bars and around the hotel there are cosy Egyptian restaurants offering local food for a small price.
The view of the Nile is amazing. The restaurant and a pool overlook it, which was very nice. We did not take advantage of the facilities much as we were mainly sightseeing in Luxor. The breakfast was very good - really enjoyed the variety, quality and local flavours. Another note was that Egyptian coffee was exceptional - best coffee I’ve ever had in a hotel breakfast. Also, wifi was very good.
Perfect end to our trip in Egypt. Stunning hotel and a nice pool to cool off in after exploring Luxor. The room we had was beautiful and comfy. Staff and owner are friendly and a great sense of humor. Really enjoyed our time here
