We had the most fantastic stay at this family run hotel. The owners nephew (sorry I can’t remember your name) on reception a young man was so helpful and would go out of his way to make sure our stay was comfortable.
Also the young lady on reception was amazing helping us with directions and any questions we had. The whole team at Nefertiti hotel were just the best. Do not let the scammers outside put you off! If you say no thanks and keep moving they will leave you alone.
The location of this hotel is ideal opposite the Luxor temple and a 10 minute walk from the train station.
The breakfast option - there’s just so much choice and it’s all delicious.

My son and I stayed in Al Moudira Hotel for two nights. My son was in awe and I can honestly say that this was the most beautiful and special hotel I ever stayed in. You walk through the door and feel like you are stepping into a new world where the heat and stresses and noises of the outside world disappear. The rooms, the paths with their little fountains and benches and beautiful plants , the restaurants, the pool and the gardens are all amazing. Food is exceptional. Some of it already comes from their own garden and this amount will increase as they are in the process of creating a big vegetable garden and are raising their own animals, chickens, ducks, even water buffalo . All staff and also the manager are very attentive, professional and helpful and always happy to share their knowledge about the hotel and future plans for the hotel but also the town and local village life. We rented some bicycles one morning and cycled around the villages and canals, a great experience. We hope we can come back one day.
Located 10 minutes drive from Hatshepsut Temple, Al Hambra Hotel offers air-conditioned accommodation with free Wi-Fi and a balcony. The Nile River is a 5-minute walk away.

Everyone please…Don't book this hotel. The place is very remote and you need to turn a lot of small roads to get there. The hotel is very bad overall, although the restaurant staff are very good. The reception of this hotel knows a driver named Omar. We followed this driver Omar to tour for a day. This driver Omar actually asked us to pay for his three meals, but we had already paid for him to be our driver for the whole day, and we paid in US dollars. He took us to the shopping mall instead of the Valley of the Kings first. We didn't buy the goods in the shopping mall, so he immediately became very unhappy and angry, and asked us why we didn't buy them. In addition to forcing us to pay for his three meals a day, he also forced us to him.
because he forced us pay for his three meals a day and forced us shopping ,we decided not to tip him. Because we didn't tip him in the end, he cursed at us and used words like F* to insult us.

Unbeatable value for money. Very spacious room with a king size bed and a massive bathroom. Very helpful staff that create a lovely laid back atmosphere. Great pool and common area. Just 4 minutes by the free boat provided by the hotel from the east bank. I would stay here again if I returned to Luxor again, no doubt!

The level of humanity of these guys is huge. I made a reservation for my father and he got lost in the city but the personnel of the hotel spent hours looking for him till they found him and gave him a ride to the hotel. They're really kind people.

You seem to have a lot of small denomination money, here it's all tips, if you ask a question to people on the street... TIP, if you drop a piece of paper on the ground and someone picks it up... TIP, if it comes in to the bathroom... TIP... a little annoying, they are used to asking for TIP for everything, everything is everything. The challenge is very exciting to see so much history, monuments, the trip in a static balloon is very good. Everything is excellent because of the architecture and the history, the people are respectful, the only thing that is uncomfortable is the issue of tips, if you are going to go to the market, it is best to go with the guide so that the prices are raised so exaggeratedly.

So much of what I know about ancient Egypt, the pharaohs & history is found in this awesome place. Too much to see in 3 days.
We had a private guide which helped loads including adjusting our sightseeing plans to include things we knew nothing about. Valley of nobles & workers are both worth adding in, not just the kings. The hot air balloon ride was well worth the extra as was the evening light & sound show.
Travel was easy in a private car.
We mostly ate at the hotel because the food was so good.

Luxor is an amazing location, feels almost like an Italian city, with the antiquities in the heat of the city, the wide river and river boats.
We met really nice people, but unfortunately met a few scammers too.
Shopping can be a bit of a hassle, with people pulling you in. I gave up and shopped in Cairo instead.

A beautiful city, my second trip following a trip last November to valley of the kings. I wanted to come back just to see the city and it didn’t disappoint. I just wish I had had more time than 2days, 1 night… I will be back to lovely Luxor. A surprise around every corner…
The staff were absolutely amazing. We’ve been in Egypt for 3 weeks. Travelled to Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Hurghada. We’ve stayed in all 5 star hotels. This has to be the best experience we’ve had in a 5 star hotel. The staff went out of the way to celebrate my daughters birthday who turned 4 with cake and music. I would definitely recommend if you visit Luxor.
Walking distance from the railways station, very close to Luxor Temple, the hotel is by the river. Breakfast is a huge buffet to accommodate all taste (European, Middle East ) with a chef to cook your omelette (cheese, tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese etcc). My room was very large on the fifth floor with a comfortable bed and Egyptian smooth cotton bedding.
Everything: friendly, efficient and well educated staff; beautiful hotel with a restaurant terrace and rooftop where you can enjoy the wonderful view of Luxor Temple (you can eat your meals there, perfect location near main attractions; clean and beautiful room, certainly above average egyptian standard). I would come back here
Ideal central location for Luxor, railway station just up the road, views over Luxor temple, souk just at the back of the hotel, ATM at the front.
But it is the staff who really make this place. Nothing and I mean NOTHING is too much trouble, very friendly and happy for you to have as an original Egyptian experience as possible
Price / accommodation is oke. It's very near the go bus station and train station. Also near the souk and Egyptian market. Luxor temple is 10 minutes walk.
Place is not very easy to find. Look for Everest hotel and you will find the place by Google maps. We reccomand ous hasim restaurants!
