The hotel is situated in a great location right next to Luxor Temple and the staff were extremely friendly. There is a restaurant on the rooftop with outstanding views. They also offer various tours for a reasonable amount, I managed to book a hot air balloon trip which was one of the highlights of my trip.
Located at the gateway to Luxor, Al Moudira Hotel is the only palace situated on the west bank of the Nile. The domes and the patios ornate with arabesque makes up the oriental décor.

A perfect 10 out of 10! I was hesitant at first, wondering if the photos would match reality, and I’m glad to say my expectations were fully met. The hotel looks just like in the pictures. It feels as if time has stood still here since the early 20th century: antique interiors, books available for reading, grand high arches, and spacious halls – truly an oasis in the midst of bustling, crowded Egypt.
The rooms are cleaned regularly, and all bathroom fixtures are spotless—almost as if they were just installed. There is no intrusive music, neither in the restaurants nor by the pool—this place is designed for escaping the hustle and bustle of the world and giving your mind a break from constant thoughts. It makes you want to lounge by the pool all day, reading books.
The hotel grounds invite you to take peaceful walks through the inner garden and the herb garden, where various plants are grown. The staff is incredibly attentive and courteous. The attention to detail from the hotel's designer is truly impressive—it feels like every little thing has been carefully thought out.
This hotel is worth every penny. I will definitely return. My wife was absolutely thrilled and insists that this hotel should become our go-to vacation spot!

Clean and comfortable, lovely gardens, outdoor seating and pool area for relaxing - a great “oasis” to retreat to after a day out in Luxor! Location on West Bank is quiet and only a few minutes walk to the ferries to cross the Nile, a few cafe/restaurants for evenings nearby too. Staff are all really friendly and helpful. We booked tours with the hotel reception to Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut and Habu Temples, also Hot Air Ballon over the West Bank - each of the tours was great and went smoothly, pricing was slightly above other providers on Booking.com but the local knowledge was appreciated with so many sights to see here….
Surrounded by landscaped gardens, Al Baeirat Hotel is located on the banks of the Nile. Featuring a swimming pool, a shopping arcade and a 24-hour front desk that offers ironing services.

The hotel is in a very quiet area on the west bank. It is indeed the opposite of the chaotic east bank. True that downtown, bazar and the temples are in the east side but the hotel provides free rides on their boat in both directions. And crossing the Nile is always better than any other road. Main activities have been Luxor archaeological sites. However The pool table and the ping pong also provided me and my daughter with great ime when we were not just sitting in front of the river. he pool was open but in January...
The staff was always super kind. A special thanks to Saad for the touristic hints and the pleasant chats on any subject.

Luxor is very green compared to other cities in Egypt.
Luxor is very green compared to other cities in Egypt. I really enjoyed visiting Karnak Temple, amazing columns. Also visited Valley of Kings to view Tut ankh amum was quite impressive considering it's age. Went to Valley of Queens as well which is on a smaller scale. Saw Luxor Temple in the evening when dark but it was rather lovely when all lit up.

travelled in by Go Eygpt Bus (£9) from Hurghada to the west Bank and visited The Valley of the Kings. You can choose 3 tombs from six but it is recommended that you add on Seti 1 and Ramasis 4&5 to experience the true extent and depth of these hidden treasures. There is no need to engage a guide as all the tombs are together and the guides cannot enter the tombs with you so are left with unproductive time to pitch photo packs and ask for extra money. After an exillerating drive to Aswan by A1 Taxis via the 3 Nile Temples at Ensu ,Edfu & Kon Ombo we returned to Luxor East Bank by bus (£10) for the unmissable Luxor & Karnack temples and then acrosed over the the West bank again a bit of R&R and to visit the well worthwhile Valley of the Queens and Carter's House on the way to the airport. The Party was 4 adults self catering being supplied mainly from Carrefore supermarkets .

If you go to the West bank (Valley of the Kings etc) hire a driver to stay with you and drive around. Its a much bigger area than you imagine and cuts out any stress. Not easy to hire a taxi at monuments.

Abdul and his team are amazing hosts – I was skeptical when I saw the 9.9 rating on Booking.com but the hospitality was top-notch and the best I’ve received in Egypt.
Abdul and his team (i.e. Omar, Alla) made sure that everything was taken care of – meals, transportation, tours etc. The entire experience was authentic (and in a quiet part of Luxor too!)
Highly recommend – allow Abdul and his wonderful team to take care of your holiday needs.
Great location, very convenient for exploring all the sights, with a lovely rooftop restaurant with views over Luxor Temple. The hotel were able to arrange a tour to the West Bank with a bespoke itinerary and a very knowledgeable guide. Tasty breakfast with a range of Egyptian/international options. Room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very attentive and helpful.
Everything: friendly, efficient and well educated staff; beautiful hotel with a restaurant terrace and rooftop where you can enjoy the wonderful view of Luxor Temple (you can eat your meals there, perfect location near main attractions; clean and beautiful room, certainly above average egyptian standard). I would come back here
The hotel location is priceless, right across from Luxor Temple.
The terrace excelente view.
Breakfast was very very pleasant with nice variety of fresh fruits and Egyptian food options, really delicious. The service was excellent,
The hotel is close to the Luxor temple, very convinient for traveling. The room is clean but the hotel itself sometimes is with a bad smell. The breakfast is quite good with fresh fruit and some egyptian food.
