we had a long layover at Guayaquil on our way back from Galapagos. this place was perfect to drop our bags, do some sightseeing, take a shower and head back to the airport., Very clean and great location within a minutes walk to La perla/Malecon 2000, Las Penas, aerial tram etc. easy access from airport ($6 ride). Family owned and very friendly/helpful people.
the location was really good. it was easy to find for the taxi's and Ubers. as well it was 10 minutes away from the airport. it was quiet at night and it was in front of the Malecon 2000 which is great and walking distance from the iguana park. this part of Guayaquil is quiet and clean. there are cute restaurants and fun things to do in Malecon 2000
Super close to the airport so was perfect for our very early flight the next day -- can walk, but have to cross a busy road, otherwise the hotel has shuttles every half hour you can reserve. Has a nice little outdoor pool area and basic gym facilities. Nice welcome juice upon check-in. About a ~15min drive (depending on traffic) to downtown and malecon 2000
The location was really good, central and close to the Malecon 2000, safe place around and easy to walk to find restaurants. The breakfast was fair. Overall a good hotel despite a few attitudes given the moment we were in (Libertadores Finals).
location perfect from airport for next day departure. walk straight out airport doors through parking lot across pedestrian bridge and you’ll see the hotel 1 block away. Hotel Garzota is actually closer than the Holiday Inn. Take a taxi to the Malecón 2000 en el centro for $6 there, $4-5 return to see the downtown palaces, river and nightlife. Worth the 2-3 hours time and very safe when we were there at midnight.
The breakfast was amazing and the location in was walking distance to Malecon 2000 and the top of Las Peñas! The staff was very friendly and helpful as well.
Location is the best convenience to the coast park, the Malecon 2000. It had breakfast for free but you cannot enjoy it too early in the morning. Stuff was very helpful. She could even arrange the Covid-test for you (with very reasonable prices for 10-hr test results).
Clean and updated hotel, just blocks from all the downtown area has to offer: restaurants, museums, the Malecón 2000, Cerro Santa Ana... Plenty of areas within the district for safe walking into the evening.
The staff was exceptional: friendly and very accommodating. Helped us navigate the city, with transportation and was very welcoming and kind.
