Staff throughout the hotel were amazing: friendly, attentive and professional. The room was very clean, very well-appointed and very comfortable. The location is excellent! I arrived late just as the kitchen was closing. They made sure that I got my dinner then signed me in.

Very nice hotel in a great location, close to the Porta Nigra and city centre just a few minutes walk away.
It was easy to find and parking was easy to get in to. Plenty of parking spaces as well.
We received a warm welcome and were able to check in right away.
Our room was overlooking the main road which was noisy with the windows open. It was also very hot when we stayed here but sadly there was no air con. There was a fan in the room but it was that hot, the fan didn’t make much difference.
The room was large and clean, same with the bathroom.
The bed was comfy but the pillow was a bit soft and I normally sleep on 3 pillows so I rolled my duvet up and put it under the pillow. I didn’t need the duvet due to the heat so why not, it worked and I got a good nights sleep.
The shower was lovely with great water pressure.
Breakfast was very good with everything you needed and the staff kept everything topped up.
I was sorry we didn’t stay here longer but we have said we will go back when we can spend a couple of days there to explore the area more. Hopefully it won’t be as hot next time.
I did find Woolworths in the city centre and couldn’t resist shopping in there which meant we then had to walk back to the hotel with all the shopping I purchased.
The cathedral was a lovely place to visit as well.
There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the city centre to choose from. They had a big music festival on in the centre but we was leaving the day it started sadly and missed it.
So overall a great place to stay with helpful friendly staff,

Jemeluk Bay
The coral fields of Jemeluk are an Indonesian national treasure. Unlike other reefs in Amed, they remain unspoilt by human hands. Local dive shops offer traditional Jukung boat rides to the best sites and let you drift with the mild current that flows across the bay. Pack your macro-photo lens and you might just capture the rare mimic octopus or ghost pipefish…

The location was great, close to everything. You can go walking to Porta Nigra, the Dom and Marx House.
The apartment was extremely clean and the terrace is great.
Hotel just a stone's throw away from Porta Nigra. Great for getting into sightseeing straight away. There is free parking nearby. Free soft drinks and coffee/tea are provided in the lobby area.
Our room was spacious and clean. We would definitely stay here again.
The location was superb! Very close to Karl-Marx Haus and not much further from the Porta Nigra. Connectivity from the hotel's position to different parts of the cities is also quite convenient. The market district is close too.
Online check-in with the passcode was easy. The room was well furnished with a comfortable bed. Good breakfast with fresh rolls. The hotel has a great location only 10 minutes walk from the station and right next to the historic Porta Nigra.
The hotel has an unbeatable location in the town, opposite the Porta Nigra. It looks like it has undergone some much needed renovation in the past year or so. We had a good and comfortable stay. The breakfast is fine. Parking (paid) on site.
Stayed just the 1 night at the Hotel Deutscher Hof and had a comfortable stay. Room was a good size even though I was staying in a single room, good shower and comfortable bed. The hotel is just a 10 minute walk from the Porta Nigra and the town centre. The hotel does front a busy road but my room was in the block to the rear so noise from passing traffic wasn't an issue. Didn't try the breakfast as I left early the following day,
We were traveling with our small daughter, and -in contrast to other hotels we have been to before- we found the crip perfectly equipped with a changing table, pillow and comforter, and sheets in our room when we checked in, which was perfect.
The building previously belonged to the post and is located close to the Porta Nigra and is very nicely renovated. The rooms are not only stylish but also very practical and offer a lot of space.
There is a huge selection for breakfast - from scrambled eggs to fruits and cornflakes.
We loved the location (pedestrian zone near restaurants/shopping) and view from the room (right outside the Porta Nigra!), how well-equipped the apartment was (great shower, coffee machine, kitchen supplies, etc.), and especially the beds! My husband is very picky about beds, and he said these beds were the most comfortable he's slept in during our 2-week road trip vacation through France/Belgium/Germany.

Frankly, the Porta Nigra was a disappointment, don't pay to go in, and don't buy anything there
You have 2000 years of history with the basilica and the Roman ruins, the various churches and private buildings. The baths are worth a tour and kids will love runni9ng about through the tunnels. Frankly, the Porta Nigra was a disappointment, don't pay to go in, and don't buy anything there. The staff was less than friendly.
