For the price, it’s not clear I’ve ever stayed in a better hotel. Back in the States, the (fantastic) free breakfast alone would have been hslf my nightly cost. My room had a stunnng view of the Charles Bridge out one side and a lovely creek out the back. I requested this bridge view upfront and they more than delivered. My favorite element, though. Was the location. Totally central but also totally removed from the fray. Just tucked under the calmer side of the Charles Bridge, one was away from the mayhem of that Old Town Main Street, in a delightful, quiet but not desolate, Parisian-vibe sub-section, and yet beyond central to all. I was very proud of myself for having worked out to stay on the Mala Strana side, particularly as I saw the other hotels I was contemplating when walking through Old Town, and each had a hostel vibe at their entrance for no other reason than Old Town is simply too teeming!, even in January. I can’t imagine peak season. Anyway, top stay overall.

Great location, very helpful and friendly staff, very comfortable and clean rooms, very nice breakfast with hot choices you can order from their menu combined with a cold buffet. For the five days we stayed in Prague, hotel Ikona became our home away from home. Since we were visiting Prague for the first time, we asked for recommendations for food, things to do, cafes, ATMs, etc. Martin from the reception gave us great tips, and we sampled and loved all the food places/menu items he recommended. Petr from the reception was also very helpful with taxi arrangements, restaurant reservation, and even getting breakfast packed for us and put into the refrigerators in our rooms the day before since we were leaving very early to catch a flight and would miss the hotel's breakfast hours. We will definitely be back.

This stunning bridge is pictureseque and like something from a postcard. However, especially on the weekends, it is absolutely swarming with tourists at all hours of the day and night, and so I would recommend getting there early in the morning (on a weekday) to maximise your visit. Otherwise, it's really hard to appreciate the architecture and history, and it is very busy with tourist-based vendors.

Amazing view and the way from the Narodni museum to the bridge is wonderful by walk. You get to see and experience different shops, eateries etc. It was raining when we were there so we didn't get to stay long on the bridge itself. But worth visiting.

Beautiful fantastic historical journey across the bridge. Do some research on the statues you will see before you go. We went up to the castle first then walked down to Charles Bridge and crossing into the Old Town area.

Bustling in the afternoon, but still a wonderful walk across this amazing bridge where artists line the streets between statues of old. And the views of the city are breathtaking. Early in the day would be the least traveled times for less traffic, but any time of the day is still work the stroll.

We were so concerned about the crowds from watching travel blogs but it was fine. Leave the bridge and stroll down to the Lennon wall. It was a quiet reprieve and peaceful setting. Loved the artists set up along the bridge and bought a lovely watercolor of the city to enjoy for years to come.

Hebrew writing on the cross was a punishment for the jews for false allegations of blasphemy. Small plaque near the floor give details although the wording on English plaque is milder then the one in hebrew. City seem embarrassed of past crimes.
It was a very big apartment in the heart of the old town of Prague near the Charles bridge and Astronomy clock. Very comfortable and clean apartment with many facilities and a nice view of the city. You can reach all attractions by walk.
I have only accolades for the apartment and Kate! The apartment was top notch. Also, the neighborhood was comparable to the finest districts in Paris and New York. Kate was a great hostess and was greeted warmly on arrival. The location was perfect and close to the Charles bridge which is magnificent. Local restaurants were great and very inexpensive. If I get back to Prague I will stay here again!! thanks Kate.

We loved everything about this charming hotel - from the baroque style architecture, the size of the room, the lively atmosphere in the restaurant and best of all the location. The hotel is in the heart of old town just a few mins walk from the old town square, Charles bridge, the old jewish quarter and the Klementinum. Lots of restaurants around. I would absolutely love to stay here again.
This hotel is perfectly located right next to the Charles Bridge, and we even had a stunning view of it from our room! The staff was incredibly friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed dining on the terrace as well as in the restaurant—both experiences were fantastic!
