As the financial capital of Switzerland and headquarters of several large companies including FIFA, there’s a good chance that if you’re in Zurich you’re here on business. But that doesn’t mean this city doesn’t have a playful side.
Known for its cleanliness and fresh air, it comes as no surprise that the luxurious ski resorts of the Alps are within an easy distance of both the city and Zurich Airport, which is only a 12 minute drive from the city centre.
The centre is also a fast-growing cultural hub, packed with art galleries and museums. The Swiss history museum is called
Landesmuseum and the Kunsthaus houses some of the most important pieces of art owned by Switzerland. For an interesting combination of art and culture, check out the Fraumünster, a gothic church with window paintings attributed to Marc Chagall.
During the day, the Lindenhof hill offers a stunning vista of the heart of the old town, Niederdorf, which is filled with shopping avenues, winding alleyways and restaurants. At night the many club doors open offering a range of live music and DJs.
When your busy day ends, Booking.com has your accommodation needs covered with over 140 business hotels and apartments available.
Zurich is a fairly nice but an expensive city. There are many things to like about Zurich and it is a place that I would recommend to any tourist. The main highlights include Lindenhof Hill, Lake Zurich, Fraumunster, and Burkliplatz. Also, if you are planning on visiting Zurich, I would highly recommend doing a guided walking tour of the city. I would also recommend getting a train ride out of the city to get the gorgeous mountain views that Switzerland has to offer.
Of course, the main disadvantage of Zurich is that it is not a budget-friendly city and it can be very expensive if you choose the wrong places to go. Otherwise, there is not much to complain about when it comes to Zurich.

Beautiful city and most people are friendly.
Beautiful city and most people are friendly. Predominantly German is spoken and almost everyone also speaks enough English. There many attractions during the Christmas season, so it's enough even for 10 days. We went to the mountains on a day trip and went to the "hilltops" around the city of Zurich which offers beautiful views everywhere. The fog kept us from having to see the fireworks on New Years Eve over the lake but supposedly it is a spectacular scene. My only complaint is that the Swiss are very "proud" of the franc so it does not exchange well to US dollars. So everything seemed to be more expensive, even basic stuff at the grocery stores. Don't go to the WOW Museum because it's a waste of money. $51 for 2 tickets! Maybe that's what they meant when they named it "WOW"! All other museums were awesome and priced right about $6-10 US dollars.

Zurich is perfect for all public transport.
Zurich is perfect for all public transport. Only ever a short wait for trams,so exploring the city is a doddle.Zurich HB is wonderful for daily rail trips to all the incredible mountains, lakes, cities, villages etc using European Rail passes bought in advance. The city has a vibrant day and night atmosphere.
Laid back and friendly people give out a cool vibe.

Not a city I would want to go back to at all .
Not a city I would want to go back to at all . Honestly highly disappointed. The whole city has very little to offer . The instagram has made city very attractive but it’s not . I had much better time in the mountains of Switzerland.
The chocolate factory can be done in like 20 min , should have guessed with all the trips and recommendations for the city was actually leaving the city .
City has way too many sketchy characters and I come from a sketchy city .

Marvellous location with views over Lake Zurich.
Tricky underground parking but plentiful spaces.
Breakfast was one of the best we had on our road trip.
We had one of the top floor rooms with superb views of the laje.
Hotel staff are a credit to the business.
Tram ZOO stop is only 5 minutes away. Downtown Zurich is less than 20 mins away.
Had drinks outside while watching fireworks and lightning over the Alps.
Would gladly stay here again. It was a perfect treat!
Easy walking distance from train and bus stations, grocery and other shops around 5-10 minutes walk away.
Tram goes directly from Zurich Airport to just behind the hotel.
Comfortable room, very clean, sufficient storage space plenty of kitchen utensils including pans were provided.
Far enough from the heart of the city centre that nights were nice and quiet aside from occasional rumbling from trams.
We enjoyed excellent service from the hotel staff at reception. They were helpful to keep our luggage and even provide us with additional portable heaters for our rooms. Both rooms were very comfortable and spacious, especially the junior suite which far exceeded my expectations. Its location is off city centre but still very accessible to both old town and Zurich airport. Highly recommended.
it was very nice and clean - the lobby area was well done and welcoming, and for the price I thought it was really good! when we looked it was one of the cheapest hotels we could find but it didn’t seem budget at all really. Great location to walk to Lake Zurich and Old Town as well.
Excellent hotel in Zurich city centre, in the old town, very close to all attractions and walking distance from the train station. The decor of the hotel is modern and the room we stayed was spacious and nice. Very nice staff and very good ratio quality/price, especially for Zurich.
