Chillon Castle is really worth going to.
Chillon Castle is really worth going to. They give you a map which explains where in the Castle you are and what it was used for back in the day. They offer Senior Ticket Prices but also accept Discount Pass Cards that Hotel Splendid had given us which got us in for half price. Make sure you have plenty of time to explore this amazing Castle.

The Castel is a very interesting place to visit. Would definitely recommend it. You can catch the boat from Montreux and get off at the castle and catch the next boat to continue your trip on the lake

This hotel is beyond perfect for Montreux as our room on the top floor was absolutely breathtaking. The views is very impressive and the bed comfortable. We loved the long bathtub and the 2 sinks . Yes the hotel is not fully renovated however this is why it is such great value. The rooms are beautiful and sitting on the balcony enjoying a sunset drink is without compare. The location is phenomenal for the Christmas markets and we walked to Chillon Castle as well. A must visit for everyone. The staff were friendly and helpful too

Beautiful walk either to Montreux marketplace, or towards Chillon Castle. Territet train stop is very close and also the funicular up the hill.

It’s the best hotel in my long trip in Switzerland. Staffs are well trained, and facilities are well equipped. The most important thing, the view in the lake view room is so superior that I do not want even waste any minute outside my room. In addition, the hotel is close to the quay which had the boat heading for Chillon castle, and also very close to the train station of Montreux.
The localization right by the Montreux promenade, half way between the Chillon castle and the city center was great to explore everything by foot. The exterior with chairs and places to enjoy the sun was also great!
Convenient location, in close walking proximity to train station and bus stop to the Chillon Castle (Château de Chillon) is by its doorstep. Our room has a great view of the Lake of Geneva. The nice hotel manager offered us an early check-in at around 12noon (which is rare for European hotels that the check-in time is usually 3pm), especially important for us as it was raining heavily outside and we cannot go anywhere else. The breakfast was unexpectedly good (even the guy at egg station cooked very decently).
Beautiful Hotel, both inside and outside. Very pleasant and clean room, with some treats for the guests (coffee, tee, spring water). Location very convenient, as the bus for downtown stops right opposite the front door. It is worth mentioning that they give you a guest card that allows you to ride public transport for free during your stay, plus generous discounts for local attractions (for example, Chillon Castle).
The Hotel has good access from the highway and a good location in the city. you can walk to the Chillon Castle and also to the city center. Very kind staff and there is also the possibility of parking right next to the hotel.
The view was amazing, beautiful lake and mountain view meets your eyes when you open the room door. Hotel location is excellent, short walk along the beautiful lakeside path to the famous Chillon Castle , also walking distance into town centre. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast with beautiful view. Very good experience.
