Everything was perfect: location, room, amenities. We ate at the restaurant but we haven’t tried the breakfast.
Downtown Old Quebec City is 2 minutes' walk from this boutique hotel. Located in the house of architect Jean Baillairge, each room is uniquely decorated.

We really liked the hotel - it was in a historic but quiet area. We really appreciated and enjoyed the junior suite with the hot tub, we loved being able to see the river from the balcony, as well as fireworks from the balcony at night during the GFLQ. The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job between days and the location was great for walking to the old city, it is close by things you may need and parking worked out really well for us. There were thoughtful touches and all the amenities that we could need. The bed is very comfortable and it felt like home which I don’t usually get from places.
Located in Quebec City, a 3-minute walk from Morrin Centre, Monsieur Jean - Hôtel Particulier has accommodations with a fitness center, private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

I honestly absolutely LOVE this place, this is the third time I’m going in the past four years! I love the decor, the cleanliness and the staff. They are all so friendly, attentive and organized! The staff is truly like a well-oiled machine. I remember the last time we came with my then 5-month old, they truly treated him like a little king and the crib they gave us was adorable and looked like it was comfortable, which the fact that he slept through the night like he normally would says plenty. I also love the lobby down to the lemon water, the board games and the coffee machine which makes surprisingly great coffee. The mattresses are very comfortable, not too soft and not too firm. We had the breakfast basket, which at the price of viennoiseries these days, was honestly not too pricey. The breakfast croissants were so buttery and fresh and the homemade jam was to die for!
This is a great location. Easy walking to many features of Old Quebec. We liked that there were no bars or restaurants in immediate proximity so it made for very quiet evenings. Restaurants were less than 2 blocks away, Museum of Civilization was right across the street and a stop for the Hop on Hop Off Bus was 2 blocks away.
The location was superb! Right in the heart of the lower old town, short walk to finnicular for getting to the upper old town, within a couple of blocks of the harbor, across the street from the Museum of Civilization, everything was close by. In addition, there were so many restaurants, cafes, boutique stores, and other attractions around, one could never be bored there. And the staff could not have been more cordial, professional, friendly, and helpful.
Staying at the iconic Frontenac hotel is a wonderful experience and it's definitely something worth considering if you can afford to splurge a little. The hotel comes with a free walking tour of the grounds ($22 value per person), discount to the Museum of Civilization, free dessert, and a few other nice freebies around the hotel. If you have a pooch, this hotel is doggie friendly with toys and dog bowls available. We had a great window view from our room facing the boardwalk. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious.
