Very comfortable bed. The location is good and bad , depending on which direction you go it can be very sketchy or it can be nice with good restaurants around. Old Quebec is 30 minutes walking which is not so bad. It was quiet and the hotel is nice and modern, and dog-friendly. We didn’t try the restaurant because we had a dog.

Good breakfast each morning. Staff were very accommodating and went over and above for us on more than one occasion. Beds and rooms were comfortable and clean. Bathroom was well equipped. Reasonably close to the airport and good value for the price. Good to have rooms on ground level which made it easier to drag luggage (no stairs). Plenty of off road parking.

The king suite room was very spacious and with 2 separated rooms - living room and bedroom, it worked well for my family with toddler.

We stayed and only explored the old city. The museums we visited were top notch! Quebec history is fascinating and the city offers plenty of information for causal visitors. The parks and streets are clean and well tended.
As with any quaint historic district, old QBC business is very tourist oriented and focused on selling cheap souvenirs and over priced "art". But, with the public spaces and museums and archaeology, it is worth visiting and exploring, even if you don't need a snow globe with a moose.

The City is wonderful. People were friendly and helpful.
The City is wonderful. People were friendly and helpful. We rented a car. We did not drive in the city. No need for that but we took 2 days out of the city. Don't just do the city. Go to the Falls, National Forest and Olean Island.

most of the old city was not accessible.
most of the old city was not accessible. It wouldn't take a lot of work for businesses to build a wheelchair ramp out of wood. It would bring in so many more people. I was very disappointed in the fact that after travelling so far my husband couldn't go into most places. Also there was so much construction going on that parking was impossible. We gave up trying to find a place to park .

Enjoyable town with with a mix of old and new.
Enjoyable town with with a mix of old and new. The old city being the highlight, albeit touristy. Plenty of restaurants in old Quebec City, but parts of town can get overrun by tourists at certain times. The general areas had lots of parks, tons of bike lanes and miles of paths for for running or walking. Two to three days is probably more than enough for most people, but if you're more active and take advantage of the outdoors or just like to chill, I could see staying longer.

Quebec is a very nice city, that merits a visit.
Quebec is a very nice city, that merits a visit. We especially appreciated the historical town center, that is quite lively even though we did visit out of the main tourist season, and is a nice to go to for a drink.
Also the Montmorency falls are worth a visit (just a bus-ride from the city center).
Other than that, the city is not massively big, and 3-4 days to visit is sufficient, in our view.
For whale watching tours we would pick a place somewhat up north, since Quebec city is quite far some distance away.

In our 3 1/2-day stay, we walked 20 miles.
In our 3 1/2-day stay, we walked 20 miles. It is a walking city, but often the walking can be strenuous as QC is built on a high hill. Taxis and tours buses abound for the visitor who is unable or unwilling to walk.
QC presents itself in two layers to the visitor. The first is the energy one expeiences walking streets filled with happy people and occasionally, mobs of school kids making their way home after school in the afternoon. The second and primal layer is the craftsmanship and skill shown in the intricate stone buildings, walls, streets and fortifications.
A friend says QC is as close as one can get to a visit to France by car.
The location is excellent. It is within walking distance to everything you need - La Citadelle, the Plains of Abraham and of course the Old Town. The best thing about our stay was the atmosphere. It is such a beautiful little Bed and Breakfast. The kitchen was well equipped and every day we relaxed on the terrace or in the living area with a cup of tea or a glass of wine. The host went out of her way to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. I have recommended this to friends and my parents as the place to stay in Quebec City!
Lovely clean, well equipped, and comfortable apart-hotel. Plenty of room to "relax" after a day exploring Quebec City including booking own meals occasionally. However that isn't essential either - a couple of streets over are some good bars and eateries. Location is very convenient if coming by train/coach - isn't in the old city itself which does mean it's a walk (uphill!) of around 15 minutes to the Old town or similar distance (at least flat) to the old port.
Great location in Old Town Quebec City. No on-site breakfast, but cafes nearby. The hotel has a lounge for guests with Nezpresso &tea. We sent out laundry with good results. Secure parking a block away. We also liked dinners in their adjoining Hortas restaurant.
