Quiet cabin in quiet location. It was easy to access and convenient to Banff and Lake Louise, but felt very remote. At night, the sky was very dark, allowing us to see the stars and get a glimpse of the northern lights.

Went in May and it was easy to book accommodation and get around. However Lake Louise Gondola doesnt open till end of the month-old Banff Gondola open year round. Best meal at the Train Station where we ate outside and watched the Rocky Mountaineer arrive. Visited the lake by Parks bus as it's $ 21 to park and only $ 11 by bus.Beautiful lake with lots of walks from it.Best to go early to miss crowds. However the routes are quite steep ! Imagine it will be packed out in the summer.

It's a gorgeous looking place on a sunny day, though expect everything to be expensive. Watch where you put your feet though - the ground isn't necessarily even, and if you stumble and twist your ankle it can be a slow painful hobble back even to the bus stop (been there, done that).

Everything about this hotel was stellar. The staff was nice and the amenities were spectacular. We didn't have a bad meal. Staying here also gave us a leg up on accessing things around lake Louise which was nice.
There are two nice restaurants and a snack bar/café right in the hotel. The staff are attentive and efficient. Our room was comfortable and clean and there are shaded grassy areas for relaxing outside. The shuttle to Lake Louise or Moraine Lake stops across the road.
The hotel is very conveniently located and just a short 5-min walk from the Samson Mall, which is the hub of Lake Louise and a launch point to the lake itself and Moraine Lake. The staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful with questions about activities and shuttles. We enjoyed the view of the mountains from our room and playing cards at some of the picnic tables around the property. Though it wasn't included in the room rate, the breakfast spread was impressive.
Comfortable and quiet room, nice living room and good facilities (kitchen, lockers, laundry).
Useful information about the local bus to lake Louise (price: CAD 2), which stops just in front of the hostel.
The hostel is well-run by Lars, who gave us a warm welcome upon arrival. The 12-bed dorms are actually split into two parts with 6 beds each which provided a more private and quiet experience than expected. With no electricity, no phone reception, and only 1 hour wifi per day, the hostel forces you to disconnect and instead enjoy the nature, the sauna, and each others' company. With only around 20km to Lake Louise, it is the ideal base for exploring some of the highlights in Banff.
This hotel is conveniently located right off the Trans Canada Highway, as you turn off to Lake Louise. There’s a service station and convenience store directly across the street. The town’s information center is within a five minute walk. Restaurants and bars within 10 minutes. There’s a laundry room facility onsite.
