Location couldn't be better. Lots of restaurants close by, staff super helpful and it looked like a good sports bar near the reception, though didn't try it.

As other reviewers have mentioned, it was extremely clean. And well maintained for its age, everything worked, repaired, painted, bed was comfy, sheets crisp. Room was spacious with a separate fully functioning kitchenette.
View from my room to English bay was super!!! Great location.

The house is beautiful with high quality finish and all the necessities. Dory is a very attentive and kind host.
Perfect for couples backpacking. The private rooms are good sized and have pretty much all the basics you’ll need. The toilets and shower are very clean in this hostel! There’s a cafe beside the hostel too, which is convenient. Walking distance to Jericho Beach. Would stay here again for sure!
Private Rooms was great value for Vancouver. A bit further out it was still easy to get to Jericho Beach, Kitsilano, downtown Vancouver and other areas but a car is required. With shared common areas like kitchen including fridge, TV viewing area and bathroom, the accommodations were quite large, the bunkbed with larger bottom bunk comfortable and street parking out front was available.
