At the end of Denman Street which has a vibrant cafe scene and a cute Irish pub. The art on the foreshore is captivating. The statues in various poses were something I could enjoy. My aunt taste is for reality rather than surrealism and modernism.

We were upgraded to a much larger room with a kitchen on the top floor and a view over English Bay. The hotel is very old, and the exterior, lobby and lift uninviting, but the room itself was comfortable with a good bed and linens, reliable hot water and basic toiletries. The cleanliness was generally good, noting the room isn't cleaned daily. Wifi was good. The location was great.
Location is good. Central to Sunset Beach, English Bay, City centre. All within 15-20 mins walk. Also the bus 5 stops right outside. Many restaurants and shops close by.
I like the location where everyplace is connected. When i arrived a week earlier, I stayed at Robson St. and walked to Gastown and Vancouver Convention Centre. Then, I flew to Calgary and shuttled to Banff. Before returning to Singapore, i came back to Vancouver and stayed in this hotel. Although it wasn't a good location compared to my earlier stayed at Robson St., but it was great i was able to walk to Gastown and Convention Centre and Stanley Park and English Bay, all within walking distance.
Location was perfect, close to English bay and Granville island. Very clean, very friendly staff. The staff went out of their way to make our trip special! Used the free town car to go to our destination the evening we stayed.
Liked pretty much everything. The apartment had a balcony and comfortable bedroom area. The kitchen had everything needed including basics like coffee and condiments and the bathroom was spacious with a really good shower. The location couldn't have been better - plenty of places to eat and drink and convenient for buses (Nos 5/6) for getting downtown. Short walk to Stanley park and English Bay beach
The hotel was in a perfect location for us. A short walk to shops, Stanley Park, English Bay, Gastown and seaplane terminal.
Room was spacious and well maintained.
Staff friendly and professional. Provided us with a list of good local restaurants.
The location of this hotel is fantastic, a short walk to English Bay and Stanley park, with loads of cafes, bars and restaurants on the doorstep.
The rooms are large and the beds and pillows really comfortable, we found it really quiet at night, (Second floor) . Some parts are quite old fashioned but it looks like it’s recently been taken over and they are smartening up bits.
For value for money and the location you can’t go wrong compared to a lot of other hotels in Vancouver, would definitely stay again!
I like having a kitchen and this one was well equipped. The location is superb with Stanley Park at the end of the block and English Bay 3 blocks away. The apartment was clean and the beds comfortable. The staff were helpful and accommodating.
