Atomium
An enlarged iron crystal, this symbol of science is enormous enough to be seen from most of the city. Created for the World Fair of 1958, the cellular design was made with many a metaphor in mind. Its nine orbs (one a restaurant, another an exhibition) symbolise the 9 provinces of Belgium. It’s also a nod toward transnational peace and the hope that science can save humanity.

Great attraction but only downside is toilets are only on top floor or outside so if you need to use this mid trip, you're either waiting a long time with queues for top floor or heading to opposite building (but then you can't return as your ticket is valid until exit)

The Atomium was very disappointing for us, as a family woth kid - just 2-3 dark escalators with some flashlights on them and 2 floors with music and light.. not at all entertaining for a kid, would not recommend it!

Please, do not accept the offer if a stranger offer you to take a photo. They would trick you. My bag was stolen when one of them offered me to take photo which I placed on the ground. You can get easily theft here. The police does nothing. They did not even file my report. They suggested me to look around the bush if they have left after taking the valuables. Luckily my passport, cards and documents were in my wallet.

DON'T MISS THIS!! It closes at six.
DON'T MISS THIS!! It closes at six. Try to allow at least an hour and a half to take it in and have time to read the plaques etc... Great light shows in some of the balls and escalators. Restaurant on top opens at 7 pm. pricey and you need a reservation if you want a window seat.

+ Impresionant asa cum stiam.

- are adaugat in pretul biletului si muzeul ADAM care nu merita bagat in seama ca este o mare baraca in curs de amenajare, inca nu se poate numi muzeu deci mai bine ar reduce pretul biletului la Atomium

A very spacious apartment with all equipment we needed, including a dishwasher and a washing machine. The furniture and equipment are quite new, but there are some signs of wear and the maintenance could be done better. As the apartment is located at a high level, there is a nice view of the surroundings, including the Atomium (which is further than a 15-min. walk, though). Good connection to the city center using the public transport- the bus stop is within a one-minute walking distance.
The kitchen is very well equipped (just missing 1 or 2 pans, and some sharped knives). The toilet is spaced and clean, and the shower works perfectly, but the hairdryer was missing. The location is great if you want to be near the city centre but not inside the centre - approx 30 min walk or 10-15 min by bus). There are a lot of fruit shops as well as restaurants nearby. Just 40 min away to the Atomium by metro. Excellent service from the staff.
The hotel is super close to atomium and mini Europe. The staff was very friendly and waited for us to check in after midnight. It has free private parking area.
The bed was very comfortable. The large window was so delightful! The location was brilliant although maps took a bit to get it right. There is a metro station literally right outside the door and a bust station steps away. So it was super easy to get to atomium area using the metro. And brussels center using buses!
