An excellent depiction of the Gold Rush history.

An excellent depiction of the Gold Rush history. I highly recommend the AURA sound and light show at night. Dress warmly to really enjoy this 3 part show that entertains and educates in equal measure.

Spent the day here. Enjoyed the people in 1850's garb.

Spent the day here. Enjoyed the people in 1850's garb. Watched Blacksmith fashion articles, Enjoyed the schoolhouse where the children actually go to school in clothes from 1850's and are taught with period materials. Toured the Mine show and learned of the disaster where 27 miners died. Enjoyed the actual Bowling Alley from then with the balls that were used so much they aren't round anymore!!!

Sovereign Hill is a Great Place to explore the Australian...

Sovereign Hill is a Great Place to explore the Australian Gold exploration in the 1800s Go there early as you will need at least 4 hours. You can bring your own food if you prefer and lots of experiences including going underground.

    Loved this trip.

Loved this trip. Only had limited time here and really needed more time. Make sure you have the whole day to explore, book ahead and plan out the activities to make the most. Great for kids to visit (and adults alike)

    Loved this place.

Loved this place. Only place you get to see a piece of the gold mining history. You can pan for gold. You get to see what buildings and businesses use to look like and what the tents the settlers use to be like. Awesome history. You do need at least half a day to visit here

Stayed in a Three-Bedroom Apartment (No 11) for a night in Nov. It was huge and comfortable, enough space for children to run around. Amenities are good (washing machine and dryer available too). Contactless check in and check out. Free limited parking is also available at the back to the apartment, on a first come first serve basis. Many eateries are within walking distance from the apartment but you will have to drive to the main sights e.g. Sovereign Hill.

The two bedroom apartment was huge with a massive bathroom that caters for wheelchairs or elderly with walkers etc. Very good value for such a huge apartment. Beautifully styled and decorated. Very comfortable. The Lola restaurant onsite was well worth a visit. Had a lovely dinner there. Caters for kids well with a decent kids menu and very generous portions. Very close to visit Sovereign Hill the next day!

Spacious and clean apartment and location close to Sovereign Hill (walking distance). Good instructions from staff how to access the key and when we can check in. Beds were comfortable with nice linen and adequate heating for the cold nights. We would definitely stay again if we come back to Ballarat.

Handy to highway, without being noisy. Location worked well for us. 5 minutes from Kryal Castle, where we attended an event. 10 minutes to centre of Ballarat, or Sovereign Hill. Provodore restaurant on site was very handy for dining on one night. Good food, reasonable price. We had a two-bedroom apartment, which had two bathrooms (very handy for our group)

The hotel is in an excellent location and offers very good value for money. The room was well-appointed and stylish (as was of course the entire hotel). The room was nice and quiet. Not only is the location good for reaching everything in the city, but even Sovereign Hill was only a 30min walk.
