Everything was perfect and we highly recommend this B&B. It is well located within easy walking distance of the Glass House Mountain township CBD and close to tourist hotspots including the Glass House Mountains National Park and Australia Zoo. Importantly Jenny is an excellent host ably supported by Tony.
Boasting views of the coastline from Mt Coolum to Morton Bay Island and the Glass House Mountains, Highwood Park lodge features a tennis court and an outdoor pool.

The view was amazing and the onsite manager was so lovely! Great place, especially for the price. Breakfast which was included was also delicious. We had a great stay and would stay there again.

Title: Unacceptable Stay - Mouse sighted in toilet and Unbearable Odor
Rating: 1/5
"We booked this house for a night, but unfortunately, our stay was cut short due to a mouse which we noticed in the toilet but what put us off was a putrid smell from a dead mouse. The condition of the rest of the house was reasonably clean, except for the kitchen floor which was dusty. We were told that there was parking on site - but did not know that we had to park our loaded trailer and car in the driveway and assumed the garage doors meant we would have secured parking - this was a bit misleading. Despite our efforts to address this with the owner, she refused to acknowledge the issue and take responsibility.
Our main concern was the smell of a decaying mouse and this was overwhelming as we could not bring ourselves to eat there. We had to find alternative accommodation at the last minute, which added to our stress and expenses.
I would not recommend this property to anyone until the owner addresses these issues and takes necessary steps to ensure a clean and comfortable stay for guests.

Beautifully maintained but vast distances to travel with no internal transport except a shuttle at the beginning to the far end.
Animals a bit more sparse than I expected, croc show and feeding in pens great as was the tiger show, the birds of prey show, if you can find it, very ordinary
Food was of good quality and fairly priced for this kind of venue.
such a pity to see that all of the Australian souvenirs including their "own products", are made in China.
This is of concern whenever I visit any tourist destinations in Australia.
Overall would not recommend for elderly or anyone with any disabilities until they organise free transport, ie safari wagons, be installed.

Love the African safari Savannah.
Love the African safari Savannah.
A must do is to get your photos taken with a cheater or a giraffe. So worth the expense. The staff are really lovely. Most if not all the staff have handled the animals since birth. So they are fully conversed with the handling of the animals. Not at any stage did we feel uncomfortable. Totally recommend as a great family activity.

Really well laid out . But get a map and the itinerary.
Really well laid out . But get a map and the itinerary. Its a very large area to take in and we found ourselves going backward and forward to see the live attractions and found it very tiring. We probably should have used the free buses more.

Yes, it's on the older side. But the rooms were very clean and tidy. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. Considering its on a busy road, the rooms were very quite.
Great location. Only 5 mins drive from Beerwah town (lots of food options) and 10 mins to Australia Zoo.
Would definitely stay there again.
I loved this place, it was set in beautiful surroundings, only small (9rooms I think) but that was a bonus, private, sheltered, pretty, and the most loveliest hosts....and 10% discount for Australia zoo if u buy ur tickets at hotel
It was in a great location from where my daughter was getting married (Australia Zoo), and the reception was at the Beerwah Hotel. Other family and friends stayed at the same place. There was plenty of areas for us all to sit, and an awesome bbq area. There was plenty of room and the beds were really comfortable
We’ll definitely be staying there again
