St. Stephen's Cathedral
To stand at the pulpit of the iconic St Stephen’s is to commune with the divine. Founded in 1137 and finished in 1511, it’s said that Beethoven discovered his deafness when he saw birds fly from the bell tower but couldn’t hear the bells toll. This Gothic structure survived WWII fire damage and hosts a number of classical concerts and choirs throughout the year.

It is absolutely worth your time and money.
It is absolutely worth your time and money. Late opening times are a plus, so you can go and visit this cathedral in the afternoon as well. It's honestly hard to miss this building in the center of Vienna.
If you're able, climbing up one of the towers is definitely worth your time. The views of the city are really cool.

Think twice before going to the top of the tower.
Think twice before going to the top of the tower. The view is amazing, but it's a pretty tough way. The steps are very narrow, there are no windows and you go up by spiral. If you suffer from motion sickness or claustrophobia it will become your nightmare.

If you decide to climb the South Tour, watch your head on the way down. I banged mine and there was blood everywhere! The staff were superhelpful in coming to my assistance and helping me clean up and get on with my day.

Make sure you do not go at mass times.
Make sure you do not go at mass times. Get the combination ticket that will take you up to the towers (1 has an elevator) for views of the city, the crypt (note entry times with guide) and entry to the main body of the cathedral.

The location was so convenient to the metro trains, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, museums, parks, and music venues. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. And it was air conditioned which was really appreciated in the late August heat wave.
The breakfast included a bit of everything. A perfect start to a day in the city. Only a 15 minute walk to St. Stephen’s Cathedral. And around the corner from the Mitte Stadt mall & train station. Will definitely come back the next time I’m in Vienna.
The property has a good location—just a 5-minute walk away from St. Stephen’s Cathedral. The room had everything declared—a bathroom, a small kitchenette and free Wi-Fi. The host also provided drinking water and coffee capsules.
