Even if you don't plan to go shopping, visiting Dubai Mall is a must. I've never seen any mall like this one. It's like a city inside the city, so, even taking a stroll here is already a nice experience!

Go for the best burj Khalifa views when u go through the mall towards the fountains.
Also the restaurants dining in have the best burj background for photos and videos, especially the fountain show in the evenings!

Getting there by taxi is the cheapest.
Getting there by taxi is the cheapest. But I found it very difficult to get a taxi on the streets. You install Careem or Uber and both have hidden charges which you will only realise when you check your credit card bill. On the way back from the Dubai mall, the taxi and limousines are available but these drivers are racist. If you're White, you are privileged to take the first ride, if not you have to wait till one desperate fellow take you on one.
Shame. Limousine ride from Dubai mall to Downtown costs 80 dirhams on a limousine. Taxi from Downtown to Dubai mall only costs 14.5 Dirhams. Transport by limousines are very expensive, the most I have paid when I have travelled to other countries. To me Dubai Mall is a combinations of Sunway Mall, KLCC and Midvallley Mall in KL all put together. Nothing so great about it

Its masive and exhausting, but with ice rink and massive aquarium with sharks and stingrays, you will not find find a mall like this in the world and a waterfall as well, food courts, good transport links, shop till you drop, all air conditioned, linked with sky view ,a floor with a view and slide down side of building a scary experience for some. Burj Khalifa near mall. This mall has everything and busy with people from all over the world. Never seen a mall like this ever.

Well, nothing beats Dubai Mall when it comes to grandeur.
Well, nothing beats Dubai Mall when it comes to grandeur. I love that it has a man-made waterfalls that could even rival that of Changi Airport in Singapore. They also have the ice skating rink inside the mall. And of course, the world famous Dubai Aquarium.
For me personally, my go to place at the Dubai Mall is the Kinokuniya Bookstore. I love love love love this bookstore. I wish we have similar to this in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

Location is amazing in terms of proximity to dubai mall and business stores. The hotel is super clean, super family-friendly, breakfast is amazing. They have a shisha lounge where you can be with your kids by the pool, I think the only place in downtown dubai that allows that. Big Plus... and the cookie we received when checking-in, it was out of this world.

The lovation of the hotel only 3 mins walk to Al Ras metro station very convenient. You can walk to spice Souk and Gold Souk, less than 20 mins metro ride to Dubai mall and Burj Khalifa.The most important thing the service from this hotel is amazing. I enjoyed every minute of my stay. Good hotel if you don’t seek for luxury. Hotel have shuttle bus to Dubai mall or you can walk (about 20-25 minutes). 10 minutes walking from metro station. Good restaurant inside with delicious breakfast (good choice of food). You can use laundry service or pool. Mini shop on the ground floor. You can leave your luggage before check in or after check out for free. Clean room with tea/coffee and complimentary water.

The hotel offers shuttle bus to JBR Beach, Mall of Emirates, IBN Battuta and Marina Mall multiple times a day and as well as to Dubai Mall next to Burj Khalifa at 10:30 and 15:00 plus return. This in itself is a valuable add on for any tourist.
The service is great, they’re always there for you.

- When we check-out the hotel let us keep the luggage until our flight and also use the facilities to take a shower

Allow yourself 3 full days to get around Dubai Mall - never been to a mall so big before. From aquariums to dinosaur skeletons Dubai really has it all.

Avoid hotel restaurants if you can do without the Alcohol. Food quality and value is better. Alcohol is available in venues attached to hotels only and carry hefty services charges and premiums. Some local options provide a better more cultural experience and value for money. For example, go to Ravi Indian Restaurant if you like Indian. Go to Istanbul Flower on Sheikh Zayed (Next to Safestway) for best Turkish (Try Iskender). Al Hallab for best Lebanese food (Emirates and Dubai Mall or original on Al Garhoud Road). Another good Lebanese option is Al Safadi on Al-Rigga Road in Deira). For best steaks I recommend the JW Mariott in Deira. For good Asian go to Wagamama. For Persian Food go to Sadaf on Sheikh Zayed or in Deira.
