Located around 32 km from Lionspruit Game Reserve, the inn is also 49 km away from Malelane Gate. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The location allowed the balcony and veranda to overlook the Kruger Reserve and also offering a glance at the Lebombo border post - this was of great value to us as we were traveling to Mozambique the next day. Besides the location we also found the house to be of extraordinary design and extremely spacious with an intriguing layout and very well equipped for large groups or families. The owner/manager, whom we never met, was very helpful and continuously kept in touch about our traveling progress and arrival comfort - she even offered a reservation in town for supper which we politely declined as we were so intrigued by the view that we rather stayed in around a wood fire.
Machadodorp
Set in Machadodorp, The Grey's Inn has barbecue facilities and garden. Boasting a shared lounge, this property also provides guests with a terrace. The property is 600 metres from Dutch Reformed Church Machadodorp. The host Ged is incredibly welcoming and a mine of information about the history of Africa. There is so much character to his restaurant /bar. I totally recommend as a stop of on your African adventures.
The food was exceptional. As non-vegan's we were not aware that the breakfasts and dinners would be vegan, but the food was beyond excellent. Mariane was a brilliant cook and her and Paul excellent hosts. My wife and I came away from our two days at Old Joe's Kaia feeling well rested and a little bit healthier.
Second time at Sheppard and didn´t disappoint. Quiet place, with some amazing views of the city and a spectacular view of the sunset. Went there with my wife and daughter and staff were particularly helpful with our toddler. Loved the dinner. Definitely a place to go back.
It was a superb experience. The staff were very professional and made us feel at home. Dinner and breakfast are more or less a set menu, and well prepared, tasty and sufficient. We loved the rustic experience with the personal touch.
The friendly greeting from the innkeeper was nice.
We were on our way from Johannesburg Airport to Kruger National Park and Middleburg is a good distance (150km) for the arrival day. Lamor Guest House was a very good choice: - the owners are extremely friendly - the room was spacious and spotlessly clean and comfortable - breakfast and evening dinner were very much enjoyable - free parking provided Full recommendation!
Location to Kruger Park, excellent value for money. The deck over looking the river was amazing. We only stayed one night so weren’t able to take advantage. Room was rustic but ok. Dinner was adequate and tasty.
1. We wanted a restful B&B in the Barberton area. The Old Coach Road Guest House is located in a beautifully-decorated and maintained historical building on a large garden property, only 5 minutes drive from town. 2. The breakfast (with eggs to order) was excellent and the (extra-cost) extra dinner at the B&B was simple but tasty and good value. 3. Our hosts (they live on the property) were available when we needed them and they were very helpful. 4. Our bedroom (no. 4) was large and comfortably equipped.
The atmosphere and all round very neat guest house. Rooms are comfy and well equipped. Dinners are amazing. Uncle Robert is a great host.
The location is perfect for visit the Kruger Park. All the commodities are pretty well maintained in a rustic design ambience. The manager was amazing to suggest and book a pleasant dinner on a local restaurant nearby.
