Situated in Järvsö Village, by the River Ljusnan, this family-run hotel offers regional cuisine, a large garden and a 9-hole golf course. Guests enjoy free WiFi and outdoor pool during the summer months. The indoor spa is available at a reduced rate for hotel guests. The dinner was lovely, we had to have something else than the fish sadly (two pregnant ladies and one with allergies) but they fixed it quick and easy and gave us great steak instead! The spa and all help from staff with drinks and anything we asked for was amazing. We got to play in the gazebo with living lights late into the evening and couldn’t have been happier. Breakfast buffet was also great!
Forsbacka
Located in Forsbacka, 800 metres from Forsbacka Bruk, Forsbacka Wärdshus provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. 5.1 km from Mackmyra Whiskey Village and 12 km from Göranssons Arena, the property features a ski pass sales point, as well as a bar. The inn also offers free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. Johan was a delight, he went out of his way to make us comfy. . The property was historic and very interesting. The surrounding area was gorgeous.

Kids friendly, super delicious dinner and breakfast. Clean, with small spa - sauna- pool.

Location excellent for road travellers. Close to motorway but quiet, set back in own grounds. Good parking. Rooms a good size, clean, modern and comfortable. The restaurant is fine, food good but selection for dinner a bit limited. Staff pleasant and helpful.
What a “gem” of a hotel. The hotel had so many personal touches and reflects the personally of its owners. We loved that the hotel is in old Vickery and that only added to its charm. Sadly their chef was ill otherwise we would have dinner there, instead we at a tremendous local restaurant by the water run by young entrepreneurial fellows. That recommendation, the services and walk to the town lookout were all highlights. We strongly recommend this hotel.
Outstanding swedish smorgasboard brekkie. Dinner was also great. We loved the sunsets on the balcony and the staff was absolutely fantastic - every wish fulfilled. The private sauna was an absolute unexpected bonus. We will be back!
Comfortable to be there with a toddler, we got an apartment with great lake view, big nice garden great spa facilities, very beautiful breakfast & dinner
Dinner & breakfast were excellent. Huge variety catering for all tastes and dietary requirements. Particularly the fish dishes. Choice of wines very good, a little expensive, it is after all Sweden! The location on the waterfront is only a short walk from the main town centre. It is a town with considerable history. Views across the water were fabulous and extremely scenic.
Old inn just outside of Gavle. Could use some restoration in the rooms. But it was clean and comfortable. Very nice and accomodating owner that without questions helped us with late check-in and providing a crib. Recommended for travelers!
