Ponta Delgada
Boasting a shared lounge, terrace and views of sea, Garoupas Inn is set in Ponta Delgada, 500 metres from São Roque Beach. The property is around less than 1 km from Milicias Beach, 1.8 km from Populo Beach and 16 km from Pico do Carvao. The inn has a hot tub, luggage storage space and free WiFi throughout the property. Amazing place to stay in Sao Miguel - we cannot wait to go back and stay at Garoupas. The location of Sao Roque was perfect for us, right on the coast, with a beautiful sea view and just a short walk to some lovely beaches. It was only a 5 min drive (40 min walk) into the main city of Ponta Delgada so well connected but just enough outside that it was quieter. Having said that, there were some fantastic restaurants within walking distance and I am sure a few of the bars which we saw were closed (due to it being December - off-season) would be thriving in the summer. The room was fairly small and simple but lovely, had a nice bottle of wine waiting for us, a comfortable bed and a nice big shower. There was also regular cleaning throughout the stay. The real treat was the terrace with the most amazing view over the ocean! The breakfast was amazing - yogurts, fruit, ham, cheese, pastries, bread, fresh baked goods everyday and eggs and bacon if you want it. If you go there, request the peach cobbler! The best part about this place through are the hosts - they literally cannot do more to make you feel comfortable and help you explore the island. Make sure you have a sit down with Mike and a map, we discovered some real hidden gems thanks to him!
Livramento
Situated in Livramento, within 2.9 km of Milicias Beach and 2.9 km of Populo Beach, Estalagem Pico D'Agua features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The property is set 19 km from Pico do Carvao, 25 km from Fire Lagoon and 30 km from Lagoa do Congro. Some units at the property have a terrace with a garden view.

Clean quiet. Great location if you have a car
The breakfast/dinner and service was on point, room was clean and quiet with a great view of the sea. The staff are very friendly. The hotel was comfortable and close to supermarkets
The room was nice (but I think it was not on the pictures in the description of the hotel). The host was very nice too and responded promptly. The guest house is well located.
We loved the location close to activities and dining, as well as being centrally located on the island. The home was well appointed, fresh, clean, tastefully decorated and had a lot of space. We felt fortunate to book short notice and had a pleasant stay start to finish. Jason was helpful in pinning all the local recommendation to Google for us! Superior communication from hosts! We hope to return next time. Thank you!
Great location, and good facilites like lobby, breakfast restaurant and location. The restaurant at dinner time turns into a Japanese restaurant which was solid. Had some great sushi ! Which makes it very convenient when you are looking for dinner last minute.
The room was fantastic, blackout curtains everywhere for sleeping and AC. Breakfast in the morning was very nice, they deliver fresh (still warm! :)) bread every morning. I really enjoyed the sauna, pool, and being able to walk to dinner/terra Nostra/etc.
Watching the sunset from the house by the sea. I felt a deep appreciation for the beauty and tranquillity that sorround me. All family always wanted to have dinner at home to make sure didn t miss the sunset
Manuela was a great host! She took care of all our wishes and we enjoyed two of her homemade dinners which are sooo delicious! The house is modern with cute decorations and is quiet with an amazing view. If you are on Sao Miguel, you just have to stay with Manuela! :)
The location, the hotel, the pool and spa area, the room, everything was simply perfect. The staff was extremely friendly and took great care of us. The breakfast was amazing, and the dinner, which we enjoyed at the Mômô restaurant, as well. A perfect stay.
Mrs Elisabete waited until 2:30am for us to come over, standing outside the house and waving as we drove up to the accommodation from the airport. It was very nice. The flat is perfectly clean, situated in a very convenient location from where it is close to everywhere on the island. After leaving the flat, we were able to store our luggage in the innkeeper's garage and peacefully spend the day exploring without worrying about suitcases (the plane left at 7:20pm). Close to the shop, close to the four beaches, parking under the building.
