All rooms at the inn are fitted with a seating area, a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom with free toiletries and a shower. At Roadside Motel the rooms are fitted with bed linen and towels.
Beds are warm and comfortable each bed is fitted with electric blankets, there is a microwave bar fridge, toaster, electric stove top and oven, pots pans and utensils for cooking, wall heater is enough to keep living and sleeping area cosy and fan heater is perfect for the kitchen which also heats the bathroom. Each room has a shower and toilet which is something I need for two young children. Tv with a freeview box I'd recommend bringing your own Chromecast or Amazon stick for movies if you're staying for a couple of days or more. This motel is my go-to for affordable accommodation in waiouru it has everything we need as a family it has a laundromat (cash only) next door down the long driveway, across the road from the takeaways which is handy, subway on the right and Z gas station on the left which is 24hours. Cherie is a wonderful host and we always love staying at the roadside motel.
Levin

Really grateful that Skotel could accomodate us with our needs. Not the ideal room, but close to our needs. Great supportive crew, had an excellent conversation with the owner on a number of occasions, very helpful. Good to have the option for dinner and breakfast which is difficult in Whakapapa these days.
had a wonderful one-night stay at Broadway Motor Inn in Palmerston North. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The staff was friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!
What a fantastic place to stay, we will being staying again when we are next in Ohakune, loved the atmosphere of the whole place, restaurant upstairs was warm and cozy and the staff went out of their way to make sure our dinner was perfect, as did the other restaurant for breakfast...and the pool what a bonus..loved it... the auto doors are rather special. thankyou for a great stay. Very clean facilities. Loved the bathrooms, great indoor and outdoor space. Love the outdoor fire place area. Kitchen was very well equipped. We enjoyed cooking our dinners/breakfasts.
Great family orientated home, offering plenty of space, whether that be sitting at the large dinner table, chilling on the biggest & comfiest lounge or even having some down time in the big bedrooms. Wood fireplace was a nice touch & kept everything nice & toasty!
Dinner was good but no proper breakfast
Really liked the location - super quiet and well away from everything. The guest house was just the right size - we were warm on quite a cold night. Very clean and cute kitchenette, and we were able to prep a meal and relax. Great shower.
Well equipped kitchen to cook dinner. Great heaters made it toasty even with overnight lows around 2-4 degrees. It had history, details of which were displayed on the walls. Lots of old records and a record player to play them on. Blasts from the past. Good fenced off courtyard for the dog.
Comfortable and warm stay with easy access. Great facilities. Close walk to dinner options.
