National Park Alpine Lodge byl postaven v roce 1912 a nabízí levné ubytování ve stylu baťůžkářů v půvabné historické budově, bezplatné Wi-Fi ve společných prostorách a sdílený lounge s programy... Such a cosy lodge, the perfect spot to relax after a long day tramping/skiing/exploring the national park. I've been travelling and staying in hostels for the past few months and so decided to treat myself to a private room at the Alpine Lodge and I was so glad I did...the beds are made with a fleece mattress cover, sheets and pillow slips and this made for one of the comfiest nights sleep of my life - I never wanted to get out of bed! Decor is a little dated but this really led to me feeling more cosy and at home. The kitchen is huge and really well kitted out and clean. All facilities are clean and functional and the little shop adjoining the lodge is great for food bits. Thanks to the lovely staff for making my stay at the NP so memorable!

Beds are warm and comfortable each bed is fitted with electric blankets, there is a microwave bar fridge, toaster, electric stove top and oven, pots pans and utensils for cooking, wall heater is enough to keep living and sleeping area cosy and fan heater is perfect for the kitchen which also heats the bathroom. Each room has a shower and toilet which is something I need for two young children. Tv with a freeview box I'd recommend bringing your own Chromecast or Amazon stick for movies if you're staying for a couple of days or more. This motel is my go-to for affordable accommodation in waiouru it has everything we need as a family it has a laundromat (cash only) next door down the long driveway, across the road from the takeaways which is handy, subway on the right and Z gas station on the left which is 24hours. Cherie is a wonderful host and we always love staying at the roadside motel.
