Offering free Wi-Fi, and a guest lounge with a fireplace, Drifters Inn just 80 metres from the famous Hanmer Springs Thermal Reserve. It offers rooms with flat-screen satellite TV. Excellent location right opposite the hot springs. Wonderful welcome by Debbie at reception who also gave us an orientation of the inn. Excellent kitchen facilities you can use if you want to. Very clean and well appointed room. Exceeded our expectations and very good value for money.

Porters Lodge features a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Castle Hill. Located around 28 km from Broken River Ski Field, the inn with free WiFi is also 30 km away from Craigieburn. Beautiful place to stay in between the mountains in the castle hill area. Was much fun as there was a quiz with some locals. Other tourists and me where able to compete too and it made the night. Good kitchen, good bar. Had a great stay!

Gladstone Hotel is set in Fairlie, 30 km from Lake Tekapo and 47 km from Timaru. There is an on-site restaurant. You will find a shared lounge at the property. Operating since 1865, the Gladstone Hotel is an historic Hotel with much charm set in a small town. Pub and restaurant downstairs and quiet rooms upstairs. The host Karen was wonderful. Rooms are perfect for one person. I had no complaints especially the price for staying there.

Featuring a bar, The Blue Pub is located in Methven in the Canterbury region, 13 km from Mount Hutt and 26 km from Mt. Hutt. The staff were excellent even giving us a lift to Opuke Spa and picking us up afterwards. Food in the pub was very good.
