Very nice location if you like quiet countryside and wild beaches - it’s a short walk through a field and forest to the Jūrkalne beach which is long, beautiful, and empty, for all your walking and skinny dipping needs. A quaint restaurant with good menu and excellent service. Bikes are available for exploration of the nearby fields and farms. A local grocery store just across the road, a few minutes away. The coffee and tea make-it-yourself service on the second floor is a nice touch. The room was basic but very clean and generally comfortable. The property is pet friendly, thoroughly enjoyed by our 🐕

Second time visiting, as a room happened to open up last second. Hosts are very helpful, central location, and very reasonable rates make Portoss a great pick. Breakfast available for a small fee is warm and filling. Appreciate that they welcomes our small dog too!

This place is literally in the middle of nowhere, and that's why we chose it. You certainly need a car to reach, otherwise seems impossible. The property is huge and it's all green and luscious. The backdrop is a huge lake and there are three "pontons" you can swim from (if you are ok with the temperature of the water). It's absolutely stunning and it's a pleasure to walk around. There's a breakfast buffet every morning. It's quite decent and has a bit of everything. We thought there was a kitchen (as it's kind of a campsite) but to our surprise, it's a private kitchen. They allowed us to use it to warm some food but there's not such facility in the main house. There are a few more houses around that are fully equipped. It's an amazing place!

El Dvēseles veldzes dārzs se encuentra en Ziemupe, a 25 km de Liepāja y a 30 km de Pāvilosta, y ofrece pileta exterior de temporada y vistas al jardín. It’s a EU social project built by blind community. We needed one night stay during Jani festival, and this place was ideal to come back late at night(check in is before 10pm). We chose the main house and although bedroom was not so big, it came with the communal kitchen and living space, so it felt like a summer camp. Plus they accept pets. It might be a good idea to book a separate house and enjoy BBQ for a short holiday.
