They try really hard to make you comfortable and gave me a lift to the city restaurant and back too, which solved the issue of being bit of the centre. That being said, it is very quite location and I personally would not change it for the city centre. Very clean and nice room with small terrace. The breakfast was exceptional.

This was the best guest house I’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka! If you’re coming to Nuwara Eliya choose Green Villa, you won’t be disappointed! The family here made my stay special, they were so incredibly kind and interesting to talk to. From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed, the dinner I had the first night was so affordable and delicious, as was the breakfast the next day. They were constantly bringing us tea and small Sri Lankan treats too. What I really enjoyed was the family liked hanging out with the guests, they had a birthday while I was there and they shared their cake and celebrations with us. If you want to, you can help in the kitchen and learn to cook some Sri Lankan dishes too! The rooms were simple but very comfortable and clean, the Wi-Fi worked great and the shower was hot. Amazing place!

Clean room. Clean washroom. Very tasy food by inhouse team. They even packed sandwiches for the hike. Friendly and attentive staff (special mention Satheesh). Got delayed at the peak but they didn't charge extra for late checkout. Very close to the entrance. Parking available. Very reasonable price.

Rock View Rest Hatton ligger i Hatton, 44 km från Gregory Lake, och har en terrass samt utsikt över floden. The pictures don’t do the surroundings justice. The house(s) has a ramshackle charm and the setting is top notch, especially for the price. I went swimming in the river my first day and laid out on the rocks. you can hear the waterfalls from your room while you sleep. Ravi is an honest and welcoming host who really makes you’re going to have a good stay. He also has top notch recommendations and thankfully convinced me to stay more than just one night as my only plan in hatton was to hike Adam’s peak. But the Gartmore waterfall and swimming there was a highlight of my trip.

Hikers Inn ligger i Nuwara Eliya, 3 km från Gregory Lake, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en gemensam lounge och en terrass. Easy to reach from the city, nice knowledgable host, comfortable room, nice warm tea, nice company with other hikers. Notify the host if you plan on arriving early as he's also a guide and might be busy in the mornings. He made sure we could keep our backpacks at the property by calling his friend to unlock the house gate so we can explore the city, but it would have been nice on our part to inform him beforehand. The indian restaurants in this city is exceptional, so don't miss out!
