The tour guide (Chaami) and the lodge owners came to pick me up to the train station and took me into the beautiful lodge surrounded by green forests. Spectacular views from the house's main area to the forest and my room was nice. The house has lots of small cute details. Very comfortable. The breakfast was abundant and yummy. Then, we went on a day tour with Chaami to amazing scenery and attractions. He is knowledgeable of the area loves his work and takes good care of us. I will recommend this lodge and its friendly owners and Chaami to anyone

We also highly recommend the tuk-tuk day trip with Tharindu. He’ll take you to tea plantations and waterfalls!

The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, they had great advice and cooked a wonderful meal for us. Breakfast was also super tasty. Dulani’s cooking skills are excellent. We would recommend to anybody. We had also great conversations with them and learned a lot about Sri Lanka.

Location, facilities, comfort, good hot shower. Very clean. Kitchen available with free water, tea and coffee. Nice common areas. The nights were cold, and they have heaters available for a fee, but it was not necessary, the sheets and blanket they provide were enough. Friendly staff. Value for money

Set in Hatton, 44 km from Gregory Lake, Rock View Rest Hatton features a terrace and views of the river. the family running the stay are very nice, I booked budget room but I was upgraded to the deluxe room with balcony facing the river at no extra cost. I ended up extending my stay as I liked the Homestay, family and area so much. The included breakfast was delicious and I was given options of what I wanted (not been offered that anywhere else) I had dinner every evening as the home cooked rice and curry was so tasty. plenty of options on day trips and things to do provided by the family. bed super comfy and really nice hot showers. I loved my stay here. I’d definitely stay again
