Pension & Cafe Cruise is situated in Shika. Featuring a garden, the inn has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. The property features a cafe and a shared lounge. The house was amazing, not even the pictures do it justice. The owners are extremely friendly and speak English very well (and even managed a few words Dutch to our surprise)

Situated in Kanazawa and with Kenrokuen Garden reachable within a 4-minute walk, Restaurant & Inn ATSUSHI -Kanazawa- features a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi, a restaurant and bar. Was nice to stay somewhere different than your typical hotel room and to experience a ryokan. Location was great once we oriented ourselves. Easy walk to the castle grounds and the Higashi Gaya district. Only 3 rooms upstairs and once we checked in we didn’t see any staff so we were free to come and go as we pleased. Amenities were clean and sleeping mats very comfortable. Free wifi in the room was helpful. Family Mart for morning coffee only a 10 minute walk away. Air conditioning unit cooled the room down quickly- a necessity as we visited in August and heat was intense!
